The Political Machines is a small game about politics released by ZRY. I hope you will like this game because it’s very funny and very real. Some of the stuff you do in the game maybe happen in the real world too. 
Hardware requirements are very low, so everybody can play this game fur sure. Please read NFO for registering instructions.
DESCRIPTION:
The Political Machine 2008, a new PC game that puts players in control of the 2008 presidential campaign. Play as the campaign manager for a host of candidates including Barack Obama, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, historical candidates or design one from scratch. Players then choose their campaign battlegrounds and are off on the campaign trail to face a host of challenges including fund raising, talk show appearances, hiring spin doctors and winning endorsements. The game is won on Election Day by the player who gets the necessary electoral votes to become President. You have a lot of ways to achieve victory so have fun.

Thank you for the UploadJockey links. Does anybody else have a problem getting a good torrent speed with Newtorrents uploads by loder of Moviex because a majority of uploads on this site are from Moviex and they always take longer than any other public torrent I start and they usually only have one seed and everybody else seem to be stuck on 99.9% until hours later then people can finish their torrent. Does anybody else have that problem?

since even they are concidered dispensable. Look at how many political figures from different countries got assassinated or went ‘missing’ or got in fatal ‘accidents’. Coincidence???? Hardly. This is a one sick fuk3d-up place to be in. There is alot less of it in far-south far-north regions so to be in resonable harmony one should go there,,, Now a PC-emulation to make you actually have a choice

If the creators of this game realize they just got 48,000 hits on their site from rlslog it’s suspicious on top of a red flag that they need to include better copy protection from here out. The posters here are just being smart.
Is anyone else getting an error when trying to install this? When I click on the setup it stops working immediately and gives me the typical Vista window which says that it thinks it stopped working at which point I can correct it or report it to Microsoft.
The autorun won’t open either. Maybe this is a a Windows 64-bit issue? The old political machine game works fine though.

Thank you zarathustra for the valuable information. I guess Rlslog and Newtorrents must be getting revenue from Moviex because that tracker slow down your torrents to a crawl no matter what your ratio or bandwidth is.I guess you have to be a member to get good speed and seeds from them.

Such cynicism is unwarranted. Voting is your only means of changing things (short of running for election yourselves), so to decide not to do it because you dismiss it as a pointless contest is one way to guarantee you lose and have no influence.
To suggest that the “good ones” get assasinated is equally bogus. I can’t think of the last time an American politician was assasinated. I think that would have to be the attempt on Reagan in 1981. I doubt you hold him in high regard.
I presume you’re referring to JFK. Like many victims of assasination, it tends to be the making of them. Had JFK lived, perhaps he would be remembered more for his connections to organised crime, his multiple affairs, his attempted mercenary invasion of Cuba, starting the Vietnam war and bringing the world to the brink of nuclear war during the Cuban Missile Crisis, not to mention the true source of his personal wealth. He was lucky that he died. It made him a saint.
To sit there and dismiss everything in politics, because “the man” will have his way anyway, is unbelieveably defeatism. If what you’re saying about the political system is true, then by shrugging your shoulders and refusing to take part you are doing precisely what “the man” most wants you to do.
It’s not like you’ve got some alternative plan or are doing anything else to change the world. Given that you thin voting is so pointless, surely it’s worth voting anyway, just in case it works? What does it cost you? Nothing.
By not voting, it doesn’t absolve you of responsibility. It doesn’t mean that the actions of your political leaders are nothing to do with you. When people are being killed by the US Army in a faraway land, they don’t lie there dying thinking “Death to the Americans… except for the ones that didn’t vote, for although their taxes paid for the rifle and bullets that killed me and their apathy allowed their leaders to take this action, I can’t hold them personally responsible.” That doesn’t happen.
Regardless of whether you like it or not, you are a citizen of the United States. This confers certain duties upon you. And one of those duties is to keep your government honest. When you lie back and dismiss the whole system, you allow dishonesty to flourish.
If you truly believe that “the man” and “big business” has taken over the leadership of your country, ask yourself how that came to be. Who allowed this to happen? Was it the ordinary working man who pays his taxes and votes, but doesn’t really understand the system? Was it the rich man seeking to protect his business and personal interests by influencing the system? Or is it the guy in the middle – the one who is educated and well-informed, but doesn’t vote or take part at all?
Just think for a minute whether it is people like you who allow the system to be like this. If you don’t make the effort to keep the bad guys out of power, then how can you complain when you get bad guys in power?
Disclaimer: I’m not American. I did used to work for a major political party running election campaigns. I did do my best to discourage people like you from voting. Most people vote the same way their entire lives. It’s the people who question things and choose the candidate on merit that are a pain. They’re the ones you have to spend the time and effort to convince. “If you can’t convince them to vote for you, convince them not to vote.”

A good break from the neverending ride of stupid FPS games that never seem to stop being released. They seriously can’t come up with anything new these days, aside from making the graphics better and increasing the games size. Everything else remains the same. Truly a drop down they did. james, I… am a MGS FANATIC. I have MGS & MGS2: Substance Manga,
MGS & VR Missions for the PSX, PC, MGS2 Substance (Sons of Liberty)
for the PC (One of the 1st made PC games on that came on DVD, that’s right..) It is very rare, 11+ GIG needed for HD space, MGS3: Snake Eater for the PS2 and I also have a wall-scroll and a 10-inch Solid Snake figurine (not an action figure, made strictly for display purposes, hand painted) Have the Subsistance OST, and am on a endless search for the Cyborg Ninja figurine. (very rare) MGS and ZOE created by Hideo Kojima aren’t even in the same category as CS, Battlefield, standard FPS, or the WW crap. One is a complete
masterpiece, a work of art (however art can possibly be defined)
and the other is useless garbage, forgotten within months (CS being an exception, that’s like crack for junkies, and they’ll always be back for another fix.) Glad you admire MGS. Learn the complete storyline, and look into ZOE as well (Zone of the Enders) I’m sure you’ll like it as well (it’s quantum-espionage-action outer-cosmos, gravity-stratosphere effects & more) I want the Anubis figurine (un-opened un-damaged), if I can find it (can negotiate a flexible price, or can trade, swap, etc.) Anyway KONAMI games are a work of unimagenable art and never forgotten. That’s what true games are. Not what you see today. As for strictly PC, I recommend all the 4 Hitman games and Second Sight. Those are beautiful creations.

How do you mount the .bin file after you WINRAR the contents of the Political machine 2008 files? Sorry, I’ve never bothered with games before, I know more about movies, this is all new. Do I need separate software as there does not seem to be an executable file?

@53: use other rars to get the matching .cue file,download Daemon tools, mount the cue with daemon tools, google it next time.
Does anyone have a way to get the updates? Because the game uses the Impulse registration system, to update, you have to put in your CD Key (which was provided) and the e-mail that it is linked to (which was not provided). Supposedly, this game has already been updated rather severely, but without being able to register with Impulse, we can’t update. Does someone have a working key/e-mail they want to share, or a crack to impulse that we can manipulate?
