The summer is slowly getting to its end and this also means one great thing for all TV fans: old and new TV shows are getting back on the schedule! We will have to wait a bit more for biggest blockbusters like Prison Break or LOST, but there are other new projects which look more than interesting. The Pickup Artists is one of them, and I really recommend you to invest some time into this show. You will like it.
The first impression when I saw the name of this was “another American Idol” or something like that. But the truth was somewhere else – there’s no singing or dance performance, but it’s rather like School of Love. A group of guys get into a huge mansion somewhere in Texas and they live together. They all have one in common: absolute fear from talking with girls and woman. The group is quite interesting, going from total geeks over fat/gay looking men to quite normal guys. They meet their teacher on the first day after they arrival: Eric, called Mystery, who’s the real pro in terms of flirting with girls.
There’s also the elimination thing like in Big Brother and similar shows, so at the end of each week one guy have to leave. The final person will become The Pickup Artist. The whole magic of the show is learning some tricks in dating and see the reasons of failure of other people – which may be quite useful for many people. The Pickup Artist is aired on VH1 once a week and there’re already three episodes released so far, next one is coming on today’s night. I’m definitely going to watch this show and you should give it a try too, because I think it’s simply interesting.

And when it comes to this lonely hearts club, desperate times call for desperate measures. I saw this guy on Conan O’Brien a couple of weeks ago and he looks like he may know a thing or two about the “Venutian arts”. For those that think that these venutian arts programs dont work, they really seriously do.
If this type of stuff interests you do some searches for “double your dating” “dyd” and “David D’Angelo”. In my opinion this is the best venutian arts program out. It really brought me out of my shell when i was about 19 and helped me get laid LOTS.
Alot of guys are really really shy and against anything new or threating to their known borders of life. The venutian arts programs like DYD, and this “Mystery” or w/e the fuck this guys name is help you understand women alot better so that you become more comfortable with them. They also help you become more comfortable with yourself, which is the first step.
I always thought that you have to kiss womens ass to get laid, and then after looking around i found that guys that get ass that way are the most freedomless and unhappy that you see. Anyway, before you decide to make fun of stuff like this you need to look at your stable of girls. If you dont have one then you should stop talking and start listening.
Well after watching all four episodes of it, I no longer think it’s that hilarious. Mystery isn’t obviously a good speaker, he repeats himself too much and although he probably knows a lot of tricks, he isn’t the best for such a TV show. The good thing is there is a guy leaving in each episode, so it won’t be too long – but still, there’s a lot of crap and speaking to cut out. Anyway, a good time waster in the boring summer time.
@15, I do alright, and personally the girls i know don’t like being referred to as “stables”. But then again you are a “venetian arts” master student just like Mystery so I guess you must be right.
Like the losers on this show, I also have trouble talking to women…after I’ve fucked them! lol!
