The Offspring – Rise and Fall, Anger and Grace (2008)
Hey everyone, back with another new album release.
California punk veterans The Offspring are back with their newest album, Rise and Fall, Anger and Grace. ORiGINALPRANKSTER brings… what I’m guessing, although it’s not listed, the PROPER for a recent HDP release, which apparently included 15 seconds of dead air for each track. The album will be avaliable in stores next week, but thanks to the scene, it’s avaliable to you now. I haven’t checked this album out, to be honest I haven’t liked most of their recent albums, but the debut single, Hammerhead, isn’t bad at all and it might be a good sign for the rest of the disc.
The Offspring (sometimes referred to as simply “Offspring”) are a popular and influential American punk rock band from Garden Grove, California formed in 1984. Since its inception, the band’s line-up has included Dexter Holland (lead vocals, guitar), Noodles (lead and rhythm guitars, backing vocals) and Greg K. (bass, backing vocals). Their current drummer is Pete Parada, formerly of Face to Face and Saves the Day, who has been with the band since 2007.

yeah!!! offspring is great, they are far better today, i think that the lyrics and the sound are more ‘heavy’, and i like it.

not as good as their earlier releases, but definately better than splinter.
the single hammerhead was great, the rest of the album isn’t as good, but there are a few good ones, and the bonus track is good too.
my favorite album is ignition, and yes i bought it when it first came out.
Great release, I love the Offspring, they got me into music. Can we get an update on RLSLOG when someone releases the Japanese version with the bonus track “O.C. Life”?

I have a feeling this album will suck.. they pretty much sold out to sell albums.. plus the cover looks like something OCP would do. I heard promo song on the radio for this album and isnt wasnt very good so I aint holding my breathe when I listen to this. There last good album.. ixnay on the hombre.

First off, it is a good Offspring Album. If you don’t like the band, don’t bash the people who do. It’s certainly better than listening to Madonna or Britney.
Is it as good as their early work? It’s a matter of opinion. I was around 19 when the first album came out and the angry lyrics hit a cord. Similar to Sinead O’Connor’s, Lion and the Cobra. Pissed off and don’t care whether or not anyone will listen. Just have something to say.

Wow, this album is terrible for an offspring album… if I wanted to listen to simple plan, or sum 41, i’d go buy them. This album is soft rock, with the odd dance beat, and piano… i was a big offspring fan, americana, ixnay, smash are my favorite albums… splinter i even liked, just not as much, this is by far and i mean FAR the worst album they have released. I’m going to delete it right now, and i’ve bought all their other albums, but this one is just not worth the cd it’s printed on… sad, i dont like this downward spiral they are in. MAKE ANOTHER DAMN AMARICANA ALBUM!!!!
