The Number 23 UNRATED DVDRip XviD-NUMBER23

Here’s a nice update for the movie The Number 23. it’s a DVDRip meaning that it amps up the quality even more than the previous DVDSCR from group SmCKn released a couple of days ago. It has also been tagged as UNRATED which is always a nice addition allowing you to watch the movie the way its was originally intended and uncensored. The 6.4 rating is not bad, but i have noticed a lot of negative comments about this movie have been left in previous posts so its really a judgement call. NUMBER23 is obviously a one time group name for this release and i suspect this might get propered by a scene group with a real name such as DiAMOND or HLS.

UPDATE: This has been nuked: [obvously.re-encode.from.FEAR_why.u.dare.not.use.real.grp.name.lol] however if you dont care about scene rules this release should playback fine.

I didn’t care for this went it came out in Feb., if I remember correctly this came out in session with a long list of horrible movies that came before, during, and after. Like Code Name Cleaner, Happily N’ever After, Alpha Dog, Primeval, Stomp the Yard, The Hitcher, Blood & Chocolate, Catch & Release, Epic Movie, The Messagers, Hannibal Rising, Norbit, Music and Lyrics, Ghost Rider, this, The Abandoned, & ect… I think this year has had so many horrible films to come out, and so very little good films.

  18. July 10th, 2007 | 15:41

So this is a rip of the FEAR DVDR? Then it should of course be nuked and the qualty won’t be as good as a real DVD-rip.

  19. hmm
    July 10th, 2007 | 15:42

Who cares about the group name? Quality is all what matters here, take it or forget it, it can’t be simpler than that..

  20. ABC
    July 10th, 2007 | 15:52

Yeah.. Who gives a fuck about the name?
There is a pretty good(okay, I hate custom-dvdr) swedish custom-dvd grp that never have a real name, allways changes to what the movie is called. It aint that stupid, why would they have name? Aint it better to not have one?

And PLZ stop hang around these damn lame pre-channels! Those whom nukes got BBB or 10mbit-sites and are totally lameasses. This rls isnt nuked yet from the “REAL” people. Maybe it will, maybe not.
If some grp is so smart that they change name and rls the rip, why would they then dont be that smart to know it would be nuked if its stolen.

Many grps have this rls, check the date. 2weeks before streetdate. And also it doesnt matther if its re-encoded. FEARs rls got a untouched movie.

  21. smasher
    July 10th, 2007 | 15:53

The FEAR DVDR had the video “untouched”, so the quality should be the same as the retail one….

  22. Dr rooster
    July 10th, 2007 | 15:58

I watched it in the cinema and found it to be quite predictable. Nevertheless Jim Carrey’s performance was quite good – he was the good thing about the movie.

ABC: “And PLZ stop hang around these damn lame pre-channels! Those whom nukes got BBB or 10mbit-sites and are totally lameasses. This rls isnt nuked yet from the “REAL” people. Maybe it will, maybe not.”

Why so hostile? The scene groups are where most of this stuff comes from, usually at considerable risk to the group members. Remember that most do it all for free, too. The scene rules are there to guarantee quality first of all – so you always know exactly what you’re getting. Sometimes individual groups get caught up in silly nuke wars, but there are so many idiots posting bad rips these days that I’m just grateful we have the ‘quality mark’ of the scene to go by.

If you hate the scene guys so much, you don’t have to dl their stuff. Stick with the “real people” and their crappy encodes.

  24. Boo
    July 10th, 2007 | 16:44

Perhaps if some of the scene people stop behaving like a bunch of 10-year-olds, the rest of us will treat them with way more respect. You have to realize that from the outsider’s perspective some of the stuff that’s going on looks completely ridiculous.

  26. Simon
    July 10th, 2007 | 16:57

Well, the reason there are strict scene rules are to uphold quality over quantity, and a dvdr->xvid reencode is a good reason for a nuke (it’s a encode of a encode – NOT GOOD!) – you have no idear how flodded the scene would be if there wasn’t theese rules.

  27. ABC
    July 10th, 2007 | 17:01

Simon: If the video is untouched, then its not encoded. And nobody can prooves that this NUMBER23 aint friends with FEAR. As I said in my last post, many people got copies of this movie today.

K, just finished getting this one and when I tried to open it I get corrupt file. It seems like every movie I’m getting now the rar files are corrupt. Why’s this happening so much??
    Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks to anyone who can help with this.

  29. ABC
    July 10th, 2007 | 18:09

XYZ: There is a diffrence between n00bs and “the real sceners”(or REAL people as I called them).

Everybody can be in the scene, just start a mp3grp and rip stuff. There is so much music in stores everyday, so hey! Or buy from download-sites and rls as -WEB-.
The point of my comment is that the “sceners” hanging in these pre-channels where RLSLOG get their info from is no real sceners, only lame pretenders that hang around on lame sites.
So this nuke as u can read about, aint from some elite fella, its from one of those lamers in the pre-channels pretending to be a real scener. Probably the same guys running this pre-channels that then leak out to p2p.
Can also give a notice that pre-channels is a hated thing of the scene-affils. If U get busted supporting a pre-channel with info(logging channels for pre, then use script to send to pre-channels) then u will get asskicked and probably banned from the sites they know u r on.
So this is my reason to be hostile against them.

    @Willow

Just a guess, but maybe it’s your torrent-client who corrupt your .rar files? I use µtorrent, and I’ve never had any problem with corrupt files (except when the release itself is fubar).

I got the movie from tpb and the .rar files is ok for me.

  31. Willow
    July 10th, 2007 | 18:57

    Hey,piNky

I use µtorrent, it’s all I’ve ever used. I’m just finding that most of what I’m getting is corrupt. I’ve even downloaded some files twice, just on the off chance it was a fluke, but they’re still corrupt.
    Thanks for the comment though.

    I’ll get this release.

I never believed anyone about aXXo releases being reencodes until he put out 300, and the only thing out right now is an Australian DVDRip, so it’s a guarantee he reencoded that one. Oh well, at least he’s good for a large amount of seeders and smaller file sizes.

It’s very obvious that ABC knows very little about the scene. This nuke “obvously.re-encode.from.FEAR_why.u.dare.not.use.real.grp.name.lol” is REAL so deal with it!

ok so the ? no one asked is it really unrated or like the hills have eyes release that was not really unrated who cares about the scene group if FEAR wanted credit for an .avi they should have encoded it them selves the credit should go to the group that reencoded it especialy if its in sync and all is well alot of well known groups have trouble it seems when it comes to the conversion process

But that’s exactly what kind of comments that are appropriate here. Scene rules are scene rules; people can cry all they want. IRC was created for people to bitch and complain about shit like that.
