I’ve seen a few versions of Mummy 3. All of them apparently came from the same Russian source since I can see the shadows of the same audience members getting up & down in the same places.

In any case, I took what I thought was the best audio of the lot and uncompressed it – running it through a graphic equalizer to enhance the sound, making vocalizations more understandable … and finally converting it to AC3. Then I took the what I thought was the best video … and the English subtitles that appeared best. I slapped them all together into a 2-CD version – 1694kbps Xvid with 224k AC3 audio – 720×300 & 29.97fps (using Canopus ProCoder to transcode between PAL & NTSC framerate). I can’t speak for anyone else. But now, MY version is the one I like best (grin).

Rapidshare links appear below. But first, just a note. I have a lot of sympathy for the folks who tried to slap English subtitles on top of the Russian subtitles. This is because I noticed that, at the beginning of the film, Russian subs appeared to be about 20 pixels up from the bottom of the active frame – but, by the end of the film, that increased to about 26 or 27 pixels. Moving subs are a bugger … but I did my best. At the beginning of the film, you’ll notice my English subs show a little Russian subtitle part just below them. But by the end of the film, most Russian subs are completely hidden behind English subs. Here’s a link to a sample, first:

Thanks for the RS Links. The movie itself was HORRIBLE. The actors were just awful. It was a great story line that could have made an excellent movie but the lack of acting skills on the part of most everyone really ruined it.
