After a violent storm attacks a town in Maine, an approaching cloud of mist appears the next morning. Why be hating on rapidshare, i spend few bucks a year for their service and instead of waiting for a torrent that might take a day or two, even longer, i use rapidshare and get 700-800 mb movie on 10 minutes.
An NZB is like a torrent.. but for newsgroups. Get GrabIt double click the nzb and download at full speeds.

I saw this in Theaters when it came out, it was a lot better then I expected. I had never read the story or anything, so I didn’t really know much about it. I’m glad it was better then that god awful story The Fog, which is what I was expecting.

@64 You can get newsgroup access as part of your online access from your provider. Only problem is you might as well sign a letter to them saying “I’m stealing ____” (fill in the blank). Usenet seems the way to go.

Looks like a pretty slid movie compared to all the crap horror movies that have come out of Hollywood lately. I’ll give this a go.

Its awesome. the acting is great and so is the direction. In the end everyone of the main characters opts to die instead of facing an extremely unpleasent and short lived future. The main character played by thomas Jane shoots em all in the head including his own son. Shorty after he does this the crisis is over and the marines come to save the day. lol

I saw this at the movies. It isn’t The Fog which sucked. It works as a B horror movie *and* to a lesser extent as a movie with something to say about human nature. I thought the ending was weak but it’s worth the bandwidth.

I used to be able download files without any problems now whenever I try from Flyupload or a number of other sites only part of the file downloads (about 30 MB) and then it says it is “done”. I am using Firefox on a Mac. Is anyone else having this problem lately and does anyone know of a solution?

WHAT?!?! That was one of the greatest endings ever!! Right up there with Empire Strikes Back and Planet of the Apes.
And Stephen King approved of the new ending. In fact he’s quoted as saying, “It is the most shocking ending ever. There should be a law passed stating that anybody who reveals the last five minutes of this film should be hung from their neck until dead.”

I found the movie to be more of a comedy then anything, I could of sworn uwe boll directed it just from the cheesiness of it.

This movie was f*ucking good! One of the best horror movies I’ve seen in a long time. It really felt like a Stephen King story. I read the novella this is based on a long time ago, so I don’t remember much of it. But that’s probably a good thing, otherwise I’d probably be nitpicking it. As a horror flick with good action/acting/suspense it works pretty damn good. I’m definitely buying the DVD, assuming I can get it under 15 bucks.

Never tried links like FlyUpload before, so just wondering if failed downloads is the norm. I saw the post above about the links being down now, so maybe that’s the reason. They weren’t down when I started, but after 2 hours of downloading I got the error that the page couldn’t be opened and the downloaded cancelled.

What a crap movie. The ending made no sense. I’m glad it was different but it was pathetic how it turned from no way out to all is well in 5 minutes. Must’ve been the quickest military battle in history. Great idea, horrible execution.

Glad to finally see this released. I saw it in theaters when it came out, and I actually liked it. The ending is a bit shocking..kinda sad. Really makes ya think about things , if put in that kinda situation.

The ending just completely destroyed the perfect super plot…
the ending is what warps this movie from very good to superb. and people should stop posting f*cing spoilers without a warning.

The ending made me angry not because it was good but because it was totally contradicting to the events that played out previous in the movie. Also what was the point of this ending. That man always should have hope?
I haven’t read the short novel so I had a fresh look on matters. But I am very disappointed. I was expecting much more from this movie. It started vey strong and had a big promise. In the end it just fails to live up to the promise. Overall the movie is entertaining and offered enough suspense. But it could have been so much better!

Loved reading the King story years ago and loved watching this. The ending is much more in the king style and he has has even gone on record since seeing the movie himself to state that if he’d thought of the movie ending then he would have written it like it.

Love this, watched the first 10 mins and the look and feel is exactly like how i imagined the house and the township and everything from the short story by stephen king. The Mist was on a collection of short stories called “Skeleton Crew”, awesome book. This really lives up to the book for casting and location and mood, excellent.
