Here is something for the fans of William Shakespeare’s classic plays. The movie is a 2004 dramatic movie staring on of the best actor of all times, Al Pacino. Seriously not a fan Shakespeare, I had enough of him since the school days. Enjoy the movie!
In the Sixteenth Century, there was a great intolerance against Jews. In 1596, in the liberal Venice, Bassanio asks for a large amount to his friend, the merchant Antonio, to travel to Belmont and propose the gorgeous Portia. Antonio has invested all his money in his ships and borrows from the usurer Shylock, who proposes an unusual bond: if Antonio does not pay the money without any interest three months later, he might receive one pound of his flesh instead, at his choice. When Shylock’s daughter Jessica runs away home with all his money and jewels, he becomes furious. Meanwhile, the load of Antonio sinks with three different vessels and he is not able to pay his debts with Shylock, and the Jew goes to court of Venice claiming the execution of his deal. In spite of many requests, his tough heart does not accept any other agreement further than the one established in their contract. scandal.

This is not blue ray but a mpeg 2 codec on steriods .More like HD TO ME !
If it were true blu ray it would be around 15GB with a higher bitrate.Anyway its still better quality than normal mpeg 2 .

If you’re scared off because of the name Shakespeare than you’re missing something good, real good. This is one of the better films based of Shakespeare’s work and its not that boring at all. At least if you can do without a car flying through a helicopter, that is.
Studied this last year and a few years before that in school. Very good play and the film does it justice.
