    Good grief, you guys are talking about the spammers as if they are going to read your posts and suddenly have a conscience.

    The vast majority of them are automated bots. Ever notice how the spam even appears on offtopic news posts where there are no files being shared? Ever notice how they appear so close to the top of the comment list, often within minutes of the post going live?

    Automated.

    I agree, the spam is annoying, and there really should be some kind of system in place to minimise it (a post moderator who removes dud links/obfuscated adfly links etc would be great). And posting premium links as the main link doesn’t help (read that, rlslog?) but posting is open to the public for the most part, and capchas and throttling posts will only go so far to slow it down.

    Simplest thing to do is ignore the spam, but if you decide that enough is enough and want to gtfo and go to another blog, then please do so, and quietly. Don’t flap your arms about and make a song and dance of your exit.

    Jeez.
