posterPUKKA is back and surprised us all with a DVD Screener of The Love Guru! However, no surprise it was from PUKKA. No monochrome scenes from what I’ve seen, but it does look like a logo/bug has been blurred out in the bottom right and some ‘property of’ text comes up a few times, see samples. Maybe the studios leaked it to try and get people to like it and flock to the theatres, but that doesn’t seem likely nor logical… My mind wonders too much. Although I’ve heard bad things about this movie It’s still one I want to see, and it has Romany Malco who plays Conrad in Weeds, so it’s a must-see for me. I’ve always loved Mike Myers movies, but I think what we we need is some more Wayne’s World.

Plot: Pitka an American raised outside of his country by gurus, returns to the States in order to break into the self-help business. His first challenge: To settle the romantic troubles and subsequent professional skid of a star hockey player whose wife left him for a rival athlete.

    I end up watching the movie (if worth seeing) in the theater anyway. Ultimately, I think everyone should at least see a movie on the big screen, just to balance those MPAA guys off our backs. At any rate, I don’t think I’ll like this movie, but I’ll watch it. Out of pity.

    Ugh, no thanks. Even if this was a blu-ray screener I wouldn’t download. I’ll stick to watching Mike Meyers in his brilliance, same for Verne Troyer, instead of this crap. Spy Who Shagged Me >>>>>>>>>>>> Love Guru.

    I did see this in theaters. Not by choice, the family wanted to go. And trust me — download something else. This isn’t worth it.

    The only problem with this movie, is that it opened the same night at GET SMART. This movie is hilarious!!!

    The quality on this is good. No B&W scenes, but the occasional “property of” message and blurred out text. The film is terrible though IMO. Totally deserving of that crap IMDB score.

    Just finished watching it. I’m surprised that it actually is very funny. I think it’s one of Myers’ best movies. It’s heavier on word-play jokes than physical jokes, and I like it that way. A lot of same ol’ jokes but improved.

    One of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. I shut it off after 15 minutes. Everything was so overdone and predictable. Its like MM was trying to be Austin Powers with a longer beard. If it cant be original, at least do the same thing over right. It doesnt have to be clever and I love dumb comedies. Will Ferrell’s worst movie is better than this. I give it a 1 out of 10 because of the obvious… :)

    Do you even realise how stupid that statement makes you? You haven’t seen it if you only watched the first 15 minutes.

    I honestly don’t know why people are slating this film so badly. To be fair, I imagine a sizeable percentage have only watched some or even none of it, and are just going along with the crowd. I personally thought that while it’s not Mike Myers’ best film ever, it’s by no means dreadful. There are quite a few funny gags in it.

    Do you even realize how stupid your question is? You must be 8 years old to think there is something original that is going to happen in the rest of the movie.

    Here’s the summary: Michael Myers is going to continue to encounter people with names that are based on sexual references so everyone that is your age can laugh. (Ex. His name is Pee-Pee! Thats funny!)

    There are going to be more characters included in the film that arent there to add relevance to the actual story, but because they are popular. (Ex. Wow thats Justin Timberlake! Thats funny!)

    There might be some references to depict something from other Michael Myers films so fanboys like you can say “Hey, thats from that other film he did. Thats funny!”

    I have watched the greats from The Jerk and beyond, so please get a clue about the redundancy of movies like this.

    It´s a wonderful happy movie which is filled with positive thoughts and jokes!!!

    The bad IMDB rating comes from all the 1 ´s, which goes to show how many people really are not happy with themseles and actually need a GURU!!!
    If you are emotionally and/or psychologically unbalanced you will not be inclined towards the type of positive humor or motion of events of this story.
