There isn’t much to write about right now apart from few TV releases which were summarized in our TV roundup so I’ll cover this VHS screener of a fairly decent thriller The Life Before Her Eyes. The main reason why someone would decide to download this flick is probably Uma Thurman in the main role, who still look awesomely hot in her 37 years. According to few reviews I read through, it’s not a bad movie at all, filmed with $8m budget. The quality of this screener is decent as well, considering it’s from VHS tape, but the audio could be better.
A dramatic thriller about Diana, a suburban wife and mother who begins to question her seemingly perfect life–and perhaps her sanity–on the 15th anniversary of a tragic high school shooting that took the life of her best friend. In flashbacks, Diana is a vibrant high schooler who, with her shy best friend Maureen, plot typical teenage strategies–cutting class, fantasizing about boys–and vow to leave their sleepy suburb at the first opportunity. The older Diana, however, is haunted by the increasingly strained relationship she had with Maureen as day of the school shooting approached. These memories disrupt the idyllic life she’s now leading with her professor husband Paul and their young daughter Emma. As older Diana’s life begins to unravel and younger Diana gets closer and closer to the fatal day, a deeper mystery slowly unravels.

Watched this yesterday, and the video quality looks more like it came from a dvd than a vhs source, although the audio is not the greatest. The movie itself is very good.

I don’t really know what you’re saying here. But this film is definitely something you may not get the first time you watch it, unless you follow all of the dialogue and pay close attention to scenery, wardrobe and music (among other things). This is a very good film, acting, story and direction.
I can’t tell you the meaning, specifically, without spoiling it for others that may come looking later. Good news is, you can give it another watch and it might begin to become clearer the second time around.
Quality movies often require more than one sitting, and some time to digest, before the meaning is fully realized. That’s exactly what makes them worth your time.
