Hey wiz, Kahlan in the book is brunette. She’s brunette on the cover art too.

I can’t seem to find this available on any site (i’m avoiding downloading it). It’s not on youtube, or anything else. does anyone know where i might find this? I want to watch the full episode.

After watching the first episode, I have to say I am sadly disapointed. I’ve read the series and was quite amazed at the story Goodkind spun. The adaptation, however, was horrible. I understand the purpose of changing a story for television, but the show is nothing but crap compared to the book. Several important story lines have been altered or cut, leaving me disgusted and hoping the other episodes could possibly be better. However, I don’t count it…

Having read the books many times and seen the show, it’s a fairly faithful representation of the first few chapters. I have also read Terry Goodkind’s (the author’s) Web site and he is highly involved with the series. They made a few alterations that seemed pointless to make… but otherwise it was the same heart of the story.

The goal of this series is that the first 22 episodes (already completed from what I’ve seen) are the first book. Each season after that will be another book for as long as the series is profitable.

That being said, hopefully they will remove a LOT of the repitition that the books suffered from. I swear if I had to hear one more time how Kahlan’s spirit was so free and wonderful, I was going to tear my eyes out.

I also wonder why they changed Kahlan from a blonde to a brunette? The hero isn’t really blonde, so the entire cast (save the white-haired Wizard Zed) are brunettes. Maybe Raimi has something against blondes.

Guys this is awesome. If you like fantasy films this is a must see. Great cast, nice effects. Not BS and kid story like Merlin 2008.

What the crap. They better not make this suck the way Xena and Hercules sucked. These books are awesome. I’ll watch, but I doubt a tv show can do them justice.
