Since when there is a major release on Saturday night? Well I’m telling you, since tonight. Based on Terry Goodkind’s best-selling fantasy series, The Sword of Truth, this series follows woodsman Richard Cypher as he transforms from woods guide to magical leader, with a task to stop a vicious tyrant. It’s LOL’s wokrs, what elese do you want? Enjoy!

EP 1.1 Prophecy

Kahlan and sister Dennee attempt to get to the Boundry to go through at give Richard the Book of Counted Shadows. On their journey they must escape from The Quad, a band of soldiers ruled by Darken Rahl. When Dennee is shot, she urges Kahlan to proceed, giving her the book. As Kahlan leaves her sister, she enters the boundry. Four of the Quad follow after her. In Hartland, Woodsguide Richard Cypher spots Kahlan being chased by the Quad.

EP 1.2 Destiny

Aided by the wisdom of wizards, Richard pursues Fane in the hope of recovering the Book of Counted Shadows.

    I’m looking forward to this.I’m not familiar with the books, but I love fantasy and those syndicated series from the 90’s.I hope it turns out well, because the reviews are pretty unforgiving.

    i know this story…i’ve read the books…there’s a couple of book from it. all in one chronicle as you say i think. but as i can see the first two series summary is different from the book. but i hope the series would be nice…i’ve always been hoping a movie or something like that would come from the books. Thanks for the post

    Hmm, is this in the same universe as Seeker the Dark Is Rising? Pretty good film, is this a TV adaptation of that storyline?
    Haven’t read the books to be honest.

    No Wlkrs it has nothing to do with it. It is based on the books of Terry Goodkind, The Sword of Truth series. I’ve read 4 out of 11 available books, the books are incredible, I hope the series will be too.

    for me i like it ….it is good ….but it’s not very good …the story is very nice but the only issue i have the some of the actors are not good enough…but figure out yourself maybe you will have a different view

    Read the books, the first ones were good and after that they went downhill fast. Same with the Thomas Covenant series and also Dune.

    Luckily this series based upon the books hasn’t got this problem it is just not very good and if the rest is not better that the first episodes, the series will be (and should be) canceled before you know it.

    The stories are brilliant, there is an audio book torrent knocking about of the entire series of The Sword Of Truth. Starting with the prequel Debt of Bones.

    What the crap. They better not make this suck the way Xena and Hercules sucked. These books are awesome. I’ll watch, but I doubt a tv show can do them justice.

    I watched this last night, and must say I liked it. Didn’t love it.

    The books on the other hand are amazing. I’m rereading them all for the third time. I suggests anyone who loves fantasy books must give them a try. These books have entertained me for the last 10 years.

    Guys this is awesome. If you like fantasy films this is a must see. Great cast, nice effects. Not BS and kid story like Merlin 2008.

    Having read the books many times and seen the show, it’s a fairly faithful representation of the first few chapters. I have also read Terry Goodkind’s (the author’s) Web site and he is highly involved with the series. They made a few alterations that seemed pointless to make… but otherwise it was the same heart of the story.

    The goal of this series is that the first 22 episodes (already completed from what I’ve seen) are the first book. Each season after that will be another book for as long as the series is profitable.

    That being said, hopefully they will remove a LOT of the repitition that the books suffered from. I swear if I had to hear one more time how Kahlan’s spirit was so free and wonderful, I was going to tear my eyes out.

    I also wonder why they changed Kahlan from a blonde to a brunette? The hero isn’t really blonde, so the entire cast (save the white-haired Wizard Zed) are brunettes. Maybe Raimi has something against blondes.

    After watching the first episode, I have to say I am sadly disapointed. I’ve read the series and was quite amazed at the story Goodkind spun. The adaptation, however, was horrible. I understand the purpose of changing a story for television, but the show is nothing but crap compared to the book. Several important story lines have been altered or cut, leaving me disgusted and hoping the other episodes could possibly be better. However, I don’t count it…

    Hey wiz, Kahlan in the book is brunette. She’s brunette on the cover art too.

    I can’t seem to find this available on any site (i’m avoiding downloading it). It’s not on youtube, or anything else. does anyone know where i might find this? I want to watch the full episode.
