posterI always like a good horror movie, but I’m still waiting for a movie to scare me or make me jump. PreVail has released a DVD screener of ‘The Legend Of Bloody Mary’ which is due out on DVD on the 16th of September this year. This not-so-high budget film puts a new spin on the Bloody Mary story, could make for a good watch.

Plot: Ryan (PAUL PREISS) has been plagued with nightmares since the night his sister Amy (RACHEL TAYLOR)went missing 8 years earlier after playing the game “Bloody Mary.” Amy had stumbled onto a website on the Internet (www.marked4mary.com) about a witch called Bloody Mary (CAITLAN WACHS) and a game to summon her evil spirit. Now a senior in college, Ryan is reaching a mental breaking point from the years of stress and guilt from his sisters disappearance. His girlfriend Rachel (IRINA COSTA) frustrated herself at Ryan’s emotional distance and self pity, calls for help to a former professor of Ryan’s, Father O’Neal (ROBERT J. LOCKE). Father O’Neal is both a priest and a archaeologist who decides to help Ryan end his tormenting grief by using his detective skills and wit to figure out what exactly happened to Ryan’s sister, and uncover the truth to the Legend of Bloody Mary.

    @10: Mirrors, promising? Give me a break. It’s just the latest in the line of horrible American remakes of Asian films, in this case the Korean film “Geoul Sokeuro.”

    It looks to be full of jump-scares and a big, fiery CG-explosion-filled ending. The vibrating effects seen in the trailer are also stolen directly from Jacob’s Ladder.

    For all who are asking “where is this and where is that” It will get here when it bloody damn well gets here. You should expect a MINIMUM of six weeks to 2 months AFTER the premier of the movie before a screener or R5 shows up unless by some miracle they get it here sooner. And by this I mean taking a crisp audio track from a crappy video and combining it with a dvd quality video from a foreign site after removing the crappy audio.

    So do yourself and us a massive favor, STOP with the complaining and asking where this and that is. You want it that damn bad then find it yourself or wait and buy the dvd when it hits the stores six to eight months later.

    If you want movie could scare you then watch Rec (2007), it’s the only movie make me scare. Check posts about its releases here and you will find YouTube’s video shows some people watching it in UK.

    @25 Awwww pwoor Donald. Whats wrong, hit a nerve did I? By your touchy answer, seems that I did. These people coming in and wanting to know when an R5 or dvd screener is coming out must think RLSLOG is a magic jinn that can pull out the dates from their arse or thin air.

    What is listed here is what is out and what RLSLOG can get. People wanting it or demanding it is NOT going to make it come out any faster so their constant whines of “when” and “where” becomes very tiresome after the 678th to the 10th power of the same question being asked over and over.

    So learn to live with it, when it is out, RLSLOG is kind enough to post it here for you to get. Until then either keep checking back like the rest of us or be quiet and buy the damn thing when it hits the stores.
