Here is another bollywood movie, this time by D3Si and not BrG. The movie stars an pretty good classic actor Amitabh Bachchan, along with a few others. The movie also premiered at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival, received a significant reception and earning many accolades after being showcased at a Gala Presentation. The film was received positively by critics with many saying that Bachchan has given a career best performance. D3Si releases a fine 2 CD rip.
Veteran thespian, Harish Mishra, is gravely ill. The stress of a film shoot have left the old man in a coma. His co-star, Shabnam, is wracked with worry, but their director, Siddharth, refuses to visit his ailing star. In flashbacks, their story emerges. Siddharth wooed Harish from retirement. He wins the trust of the aged performer, who rages against the modern world from his quiet study. Sporting a silver mane, Bachchan trumpets the superiority of Shakespeare over anything cinema can create. And yet, he agrees to act in the film. As the outsider in the cast, Harish has disdain for movie fakery. His theater skills are so much grander. Standing on a hillside, he teaches Shabnam to project her voice clear across a valley to the next hill.

@10 bollywood movies these days are much different than you think.you might want to watch this movie,it sure as hell cr*ps over anything hollywood has produced recently,maybe it might change your stereotypical views.
i’ve been told some of the best movies in India are done in south of india in languages other than hindi.
these hindi movies are mostly copy of western or south indian movies with a penchant of white skin(but looks yellow).
Totally different than real life.

Amitabh Bachchan,or The BIG B of Bollywood, is an actor of fine calibre.Can carry off virtually any role.Sort of the Al Pacino of Indian Cinema.
Haven’t actually watched this movie.I know its a good movie cuz it wasn’t a blockbuster(tats the way Indian Movies roll.Most Box Office Hits are BAD movies!)
If you watch this movie and want to see more of Amitabh Bachchan’s histrionics,I think you should watch Sarkar an adaptation of the Godfather.
i am not against these movies – but i am against the bias of posting 5 indian movies for every other non-hollywood movie.

This is an over-rated movie. Saw it in the theater. Amitabh Bachhan is excellent the rest are so-so.
may be the germans should start having english subs in their movies,at least the bollywood does…they think more internationally.

What to expect:
Good direction, good acting, bad screenplay and worse casting, editing.

@tester Regional Indian movie scene is capable of kicking the butt of bolly any time any day but the southern scene, though potent, cannot compare itself to Tollywood (Tollygunge, Kolakata) which is way superior in quality & refinement. Southern mainstream directors also openly steal from SE Asian flicks (Kor, Thai, Jap). This movie itself is directed by a Tollywood director and has many tollywood actors, though it’s a bolly production.
That said, I have a request to make to the editors & Martin; Is it not possible to post a few european movies regularly which are way better in quality and comes with decent subpack? Specially French, German & Italian? Aditionally I would surely like to see a few samples of Argentinian & Brazilian flicks.

Don’t forget, Martin doesn’t make the films. And he doesn’t charge us to visit this site. We should be happy with the posts he does provide us. And if not, we can visit other sites.
All you childish (and racist) a$$holes. I don’t care about Bollywood either, but the world doesn’t revolve around ME. Perhaps there are actually some out there who enjoy downloading this genre of movie, so let them at least enjoy it. If you’ve got an issue with this, then I highly recommend you storm to your local multiplex to protest all the movies showing there…except of course those produced by the almighty Hollywood studios.
