The Kiss Of Life 2007 LiMiTED DVDRiP XviD-SUNSPOT
With all of you probably still hyped up from the Jumper R5 release here’s something a little bit more unheard of; The Kiss of Life. Its an unknown film in Greek but with English subs and I probably wouldn’t post this but since a lot of you have been complaining about RLSLOG’s slowness the last couple of days , but I decided to anyway. Usual 1CD release but I usually don’t like XViDs with a res lower than 656. Enjoy.
Paschalis (Laertis Malkotsis) is an agronomist, he is 30 years old and is about to marry his beloved Anthoula Milos. By mistake will be on board for Sifnos, where it will meet the Zoi (Cathrine Papoutsaki), a beautiful but strange photographer who goes at the island for her own ‘purposes’. Things will become even more difficult for Paschalis when a strike on cabotage may cost him his marriage! But things change when together with Zoi will meet a couple (Zeta Douka & Themos Anastasiadis) in Sifnos, which tries to help him come together with his future wife and marry her! But many unexpected situations will lead to funny incidents and a lot of things will be revealed.

i saw this movie in the cinemas, in a special pre-premiere. i liked it alot and laughed with it. very nice greek comedy. ive downloaded the movie from the greek tracker.

Very happy to see a Greek realease in rlslog but… unfortunately not proud.
I saw the movie yesterday and even if its full with beautiful breathtaking images of Sifnos the script is simply… un-existing…
Anyway, we waiting you for some summer vacations in Greece!
Quite a mediocre film, but i really want to see how people outside Greece think of it.

Prety crappy movie, although its a nice suprise to see a greek movie released in RLSLOG. This place rocks!

The only nice surprise about this movie is it being here in RLSLOG. Not worth it for the skin alone. This ‘merikan-cheap-comicorama-wanna-be (sic) is neither a fun nor a representative of greek culture movie.
Weak performances at best, poor cast selection (ffs they actually put that slob in a movie, he can barely speak let alone act) and the script has more holes than swiss cheese.
Worse than (crap) school play.
Yes I did dl it just to check it out, good thing I didn’t pay for it in the movies. Saved 7 euros.
Check out “5 Lepta akoma” (2006) for a modern comedy.

The movie is not good, but at least there’s Katerina to look at.
It’s the first Greek release on the site, although I remember that there’s a Greek editor here (or was at some point). I hope we see more of them.
Bad movie, but the problem is that there aren’t any good movies from Greece. The last one i can remeber was “Dekapentavgoustos” back from 2001. Unfortunately here in Greece our only culture temperament is to send bad songs in Eurovision, when countries like Denmark or even Romania, the last years, gives us excellent movies. If you like Greek islands, though, check this movie.

5 Lepta akoma (2006) (5 λεπτά ακόμα)
Ores koinis isixias (2007) (Ώρες κοινής ησυχίας)
Women’s Conspiracies (2007) (Γυναικείες συνωμοσίες)
Doubt that you know half of them.
You should consider constructive criticism next time and avoid generalisations.
@76. I’ve seen all the movies that you’ve mentioned above and many more, my job also is related to the cinema, i’m an editor and sound engineer. I admit that i forgot “Spirtokouto” and also “Vasillias” by Nikos Grammatikos, both of them were excellent movies. The problem is that many of the Greek movies aren’t for people outside Greece. Nobody foreigner is going to laugh with “5 Lepta akoma” or “Loufa kai parallagi” although they are pretty good movies for us, you must admit that the only known Director outside Greece, at this time, is Aggelopoulos, witch his cinema nowdays is very outdated. Oh! i also forgot CCTV by Vassilis Katsikis but that dosen’t change anything.
@77. Agreed many of greek movies are targeted towards a greek speaking/cultured audience. But if by wanting to address a more international audience means turning them into Un-holly-wood rip-offs like this one, it’s better to stay local. Surely careful/flexible writing is needed for a comedy to come across internationally and keep both audiences pleased but the drama movies are fine for export. It’s just that nobody cares to expose them abroad. A pity.
I’d like to believe that Aggelopoulos’ cinema is not the best we have to offer. Outdated? That’s a very mild understatement.
But I think we’re on the same side.
Just to say as i’m Greek too and “Spirtokouto” is one movie that deserves more recognition and surely a nice rls. “El Greco” too deserves a rls,might have weak directing but the acting is quite good there too.As for the “Kiss Of Life” its ok to watch but totally forgettable except for Zeta Duka’s ass lol.
The next week here in Greece is coming out “Diorthosi” by Thanos Anastopoulos probably the best Greek movie of this season, and as it is expected no one is going to watch it, because a)it’s not a comedy b)it’s an Independent production even for a Greek movie. Our government unforunately recognized their mistake after the first screening at Thessaloniki’s Film Festival. This is something that happens all the time.

how do you make greek subs show correctly with greek alphabet on VLC playback?
They always show as garbled characters on screen, while other foreign language subs including chinese show correctly.
