The King of Kong LIMITED DOCU DVDRip XviD-SAPHiRE
This funny documentary was previously available on a pretty good DVD screener, but you can now get it in DVDRip quality thanks to active group SAPHiRE. You can see all the information about this release in Shiny’s “The King of Kong LIMITED DVDSCR XviD-NEPTUNE” post from November 2007.
EDIT: Apparently the DVDSCR by group NEPTUNE was in fact a WORKPRINT version of the film and missed some scenes from the final version. This is evident in the end where it shows the words “Credits 1″, “Credits Crawl”, etc. instead of the actual credits. This should be a good enough reason to get this instead if you haven’t already seen it. Enjoy.

lol – watched the DVDScreener, couldn’t stop laughing it was hideous!
watched the previous version, was quite entertaining. The “bad guy” is really funny to watch, he doesn’t quite know how much of a loser he appears to be.

Definately recommended for everyone interested in gaming and/or other addictive spices of life.
movie is pretty good, I watched the above mentioned dvdscreener and I don’t think there’s anything missing but the end credits.
I already knew Billy Mitchell from an episode of MTV True Life called “I’m a Gamer” where he gets to talk about his perfect game in PacMan and his overall attitude towards gaming (or winning, whether it’s barbecue sauce or arcade games, the guy is obsessed).

Cool documentary. I still play some of the classic oldie games.. Brings back a lot of fond memories.
So exactly how much and what was missing from the screener(workprint)? Obviously the credits, but anything actually worth grabbing? If it’s merely the credits it’s kinda wasted b/w it’s a docu, don’t really need to improve o nthe wp it was fine, unless it’s missing something important.

Umm, no actually if you are asking / talking about any release other than ” The King of Kong LIMITED DOCU DVDRip XviD-SAPHiRE” it’s offtopic. Asking editors that merely report releases when the releases will come out is wasting your time and theirs, check the R5 release post, if it’s not listed, be patient I’m sure these guys will keep you informed.

The dude edited the video tape, you can see the score role over during the “static” this can be done by pressing on the record head and splicing the 2 sections together. The guy just couldn’t stand lousing.
