Yaaaaaaaaayyyy…. I’m not insane! Just wrote this for the second time after the first attempt 2 weeks ago had sync issues. I checked on the computer – sync was perfect. Wrote to DvD using ConvertX like I’ve done hundreds of times before with a 98%+ successful rate of no errors/issues… and when I played the DvD back, its out of sync. Its not my software, or spec of the computer… its the original video rip. Unfortauntely, the Screener had issues too, and I’m not lowering my standard all the way down to a cam!

Any other source for this found, which has no sync issues?

Thanks for sharing, peeps. Nice to know I’m not the only one!

I downloaded the rapidshare links, converted using ConvertXtoDvd, threw it at the wife and went and played golf.

No sync issues here. Was all good.

Certainly sync issues on my Panasonic DVD player. Avoid this torrent.

Virtual Dub identifies that the sound was recorded in variable bit rate (VBR) and adds the warning that this can lead to out of sync issues when the sound is extracted to wave (i.e. DVD).

To fix the avi file in Virtual Dub reprocess the audio in “Full Processing Mode” & resave the avi, then reprocess again in “Full Processing Mode” with Audio Interleave “Audio Skew Correction of 432ms (per Maz’s post) and resave again.

There does seem to be a slight out of sync delay (maybe half a second) when played back on my standalone DivX DVD player (Philips DVP-5982). I only checked the beginning, not sure if it’s like this throughtout the whole movie.

when playing the .avi on a burned cd with my standalone dvd player i have out of sync audio. thought maybe converting it to dvd with convertxtodvd would solve the problem, but it didn’t. audio perfectly synced when playing on the computer using either vlc or windows media player. guess i gotta play it on my laptop using the s-video out to see it on the big screen…

@Staff… could you please open up a “submit” page where people can send you links to new releases that you haven’t posted on yet? You could go as far as to turn it into a Slashdot.org or Digg submit setup where people can fashion a post and have it sent to you guys for review. I think we could cover tons more releases that way and keep the comments on-topic.
