iMBT are on fire today with another nice DVDRip release. “The Jane Austen Book Club” is a romantic Drama film that has scored some pretty decent reviews. It is starring Maria Bello who is in my opinion a fantastic actress. Not much more to say. Enjoy.
Synopsis: Life imitates art in this adaptation of Karen Joy Fowler’s bestselling novel about a book group reading the work of Jane Austen. Each of the people in the group is at a different stage of life: there’s Sylvia (Amy Brenneman), whose husband has just left her for another woman, and her daughter Allegra (Maggie Grace), who’s looking for a woman herself. Bernadette (Kathy Baker) has six marriages under her belt, while Jocelyn’s (Maria Bello) most significant relationship is with her dog. New to the group of friends are Prudie (Emily Blunt), a teacher who is unhappy with her marriage, and Grigg (Hugh Dancy), the group’s only man–a sci-fi fan invited by Jocelyn to take Sylvia’s mind off her failed marriage.

This was actually a pretty good movie. I watched the R5 with my wife. The official DVD release of this movie is scheduled for February 5th, but so is The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, so where is that? That should be pre’d by the end of the week, at least I hope.

Cloverfield CAM XVID – Stuffies
The Cloverfield cam? how can you tell it is a bad one when the whole movie is filmed like it came from a shakey hand held camera. As my neice would say…”this movie was sooooo Blair Witch project” and I agree. Out of focus-shaking camera shots (if you get motion sickness easliy, stay away from this film) Monster does not even show up till the last part of the movie and they dont even tell you or give ideas how it got the way it is. Heck..the only critters you even DO see are flesh eating lice that are the size of bull mastifs that constantly fall off the original critter.
This should have went directly to video and saved all of us the bother of refusing to see it.
And hey Ops? you might want to go here and tell this guy to shut his site down as he is copying your site part for part and movie for movie, then he blasts you for allowing comments.

@coarse54321, what’s wrong with moviex.info is that they steal bandwidth from the torrent community using their “front” sites like TPB and others. As was reported by TorrentFreak a couple months ago, moviex leeches data from the public trackers to their private tracker members, and the public tracker users get no data in return from moviex members.
Many will argue that this is not true, but it is. They were busted and are at it again, so if you see moviex in your tracker list, expect a VERY slow download, as you will be sending all your data to moviex members.

You can choose to remove the moviex.info tracker if you like. In uTorrent for e.g. right click on the torrent, go to Properties, delete the tracker from the list and press Ok.

Goes horribly out of sync (at least 5 seconds) when converted for a dvd.
@Staff… could you please open up a “submit” page where people can send you links to new releases that you haven’t posted on yet? You could go as far as to turn it into a Slashdot.org or Digg submit setup where people can fashion a post and have it sent to you guys for review. I think we could cover tons more releases that way and keep the comments on-topic.
when playing the .avi on a burned cd with my standalone dvd player i have out of sync audio. thought maybe converting it to dvd with convertxtodvd would solve the problem, but it didn’t. audio perfectly synced when playing on the computer using either vlc or windows media player. guess i gotta play it on my laptop using the s-video out to see it on the big screen…
Ran through avimux there is a delay of 432ms once corrected it’s ok

There does seem to be a slight out of sync delay (maybe half a second) when played back on my standalone DivX DVD player (Philips DVP-5982). I only checked the beginning, not sure if it’s like this throughtout the whole movie.

Virtual Dub identifies that the sound was recorded in variable bit rate (VBR) and adds the warning that this can lead to out of sync issues when the sound is extracted to wave (i.e. DVD).
To fix the avi file in Virtual Dub reprocess the audio in “Full Processing Mode” & resave the avi, then reprocess again in “Full Processing Mode” with Audio Interleave “Audio Skew Correction of 432ms (per Maz’s post) and resave again.
Certainly sync issues on my Panasonic DVD player. Avoid this torrent.
yes this is out a sync for me as well
I downloaded the rapidshare links, converted using ConvertXtoDvd, threw it at the wife and went and played golf.
No sync issues here. Was all good.

Yaaaaaaaaayyyy…. I’m not insane! Just wrote this for the second time after the first attempt 2 weeks ago had sync issues. I checked on the computer – sync was perfect. Wrote to DvD using ConvertX like I’ve done hundreds of times before with a 98%+ successful rate of no errors/issues… and when I played the DvD back, its out of sync. Its not my software, or spec of the computer… its the original video rip. Unfortauntely, the Screener had issues too, and I’m not lowering my standard all the way down to a cam!
Any other source for this found, which has no sync issues?
