The Italian 2005 PROPER LiMiTED DVDRip XviD-HNR
I usually do not post other than old films here, but this is another exception for me. It seems to be a very nice Russian film called “Italianetz” that translates to “The Italian” in English. We are not used to many good Russian movies but this time I’ll make an exception and watch this one, the trailer looks promising and the quality of HNR was always good. Some of you will know the very known Russian movie “Night Watch” and the new coming “Day Watch”. Enjoy!
In his feature directorial debut, director Andrei Kravchuk addresses with intelligence and poignancy the urgent issue of illegal adoption in Russia, which has become a well-documented international crisis. THE ITALIAN is based on the true story of a small Russian boy abandoned in an orphanage who goes in search of his birth mother.
A childless, affluent couple from Italy comes to a provincial Russian children’s home to find a child for adoption. The orphanage is a harsh place, run by two rival internal factions. Alongside the official, adult administration, run by a corrupt headmaster (played by Yuri Itskov) with the help of greedy adoption broker Madam (Maria Kuznetsova), there is a shadow children’s gang operating out of the institution’s boiler room.
When the Italian couple singles out six-year-old ragamuffin Vanya Solntsev (Kolya Spiridonov) as their prospective choice, the other orphans give Vanya a new nickname: The Italian. They envy Vanya, imagining that he is destined for a life of ease in sunny Italy. But seeing that the older children must resort to stealing or prostitution in order to survive, plucky little Vanya has other plans. He decides to track down his birth mother, teaching himself to read in order to learn her address from his personal file locked in the home’s office. After stealing his records, Vanya sneaks out of the orphanage and boards a commuter train headed for the city, with the orphanage staff and police in close pursuit. Fearing that Vanya will make them lose a very lucrative adoption deal, the orphanage headmaster joins forces with Madam to find the runaway child by any means necessary.

I’d seriously recommend the old russian movie called “Come and See” (1985).
It is a strongest anti-war movie, that i’ve ever seen.
Also, this movie is stays forever in your memory. You just cant forget it. Masterpiece.
In some countries Day Watch is old as hell, but in places like the Us the movie still hasn’t made it’s way to the screen… The movie sucked donkeyballs if u ask me, but I guess u didn’t…

Movie (2004) means that the movie was shown to public for the first time in 2004. That does not mean that it was published worldwide. This movie is Russian, so I think it was released in Russia in 2005 and now the American DVD is coming out in America
so please go and get some information before giving such a comment again

55% of the visitors here are from, USA, Canada, UK, Sweden and Holland where the people still expecting “Day Watch”. The same story as this “The Italian” that is old but still not released in the countries stated above.
I know that this movies are old, 2005, 2006! But I think a little bit more appreciation wouldn’t bother anybody, only help us.

Yes, I completely realize that. Still, a movie published in 2005 and rereleased in 2007 is still 2 years old. Using your logic, if I translated Applesoft BASIC (1977) and ProDOS for the Apple ][e system into a different language, and released it in another country it would be new. The fact that it’s “new to you” doesn’t reverse the fact that it’s 2 years old. The movie is 2 years old, and as such ISN’T a new movie.
