The IT Crowd S02E06 WS PDTV XviD-RiVER

I just finished watching the last episode of second season of The IT Crowd and I’m really happy it ended. The show went from hilarious season 1 to crappy, not funny and completely offtopic end of season 2 and I doubt there will be any sequel, although I haven’t seen any charts or numbers from TV broadcast. The only funny element of the whole last episode was Moss, which trully remains the old geeky nerd, but the other characters (especially the new boss) and mostly the environment is so different from the initial setup I really don’t like it.

Despite his graveside promises to Denholm never again to become embroiled in a sexual harassment case, Jen’s voice awakens a mighty tiger behind Douglas’ fly and he can resist her no longer. After a lengthy campaign of increasingly pointless phone calls to the basement, he asks her to be his PA.

I agree. The first episode of season 2 was really, really funny. Almost “Coupling”-good. Then it went downhill from there. I was kind of hoping for that US version of the show, but oh well. RIP IT Crowd. You had 3 good episodes over 2 seasons.. I’ll keep those and trash the rest. i wish i could recycle but sadly, no….

I must say… First season ruled… It was great and incredibly stupid … The second season just was too clean and, indeed, off topic. Maybe they lost a bit of creativity. I’ve had a good laugh though.. and the eps. are not too long.

TO be honest I thought the whole series (both 1 and 2) were utter garbage.

An it’s a shame that Noel Fielding had to be a part of the program, because I really loved him in the Mighty Boosh, which is one of my favourite programs ever. It’s sad to see him involved in something so poorly written as IT crowd.

Aye 65% of season 2 was crap.
This episode was a letdown when I watched it over the weekend.

Don’t forget folks, they’re pulling and “Office” with this.

Expect a CRAPTASTIC Americanized version in the coming year.

Its a shame they made such a half second season – It flew by and was really weak compared to season 1.

They have to live with the fact now that everyone knows they did a half assed job.

If the IT was a 22 ep per season show like the US market a few duffs would be expected but over 6 it was garbage

US version already scrapped. – Just as well..

The music is ripped off the film Killer Klowns from outer space if u didnt know..

you’re a fucking retard, series 2 has been amazing and far surpassed the already excellent first season.

It’s not too long till the stupid and no doubt dumbed down retarded american version of the program is produced so retards like you can enjoy the show as much as I have for the first 2 series.

Series 2 was first class and I look forward to the next UK series whole heartedly.

If you look at some of the best British comedies ever, you’ll find that all 6 episodes each series are brilliant, not a single bad one. Peep Show more recently, every single episode is top drawer. Father Ted a perfect example. IT Crowd falls flat on it’s face. Even it’s best episode is a million light years behind any of the top comedies.

The IT crowd has been one of the best UK tv series in years and while some episodes have set a standard so high that it has been hard to surpass by the next I have enjoyed every single one immensely and look forward to the future…

yeah erm hitlers right about comedies..

didnt like series 2 too much it seems it went more mainstream and really wasnt that funny. Although the anti-piracy add in Episode 1 was quite funny.

The first series was quite good some great funny moments Chris morris as the boss was great and they killed him off.

I disagree I’m a big fan of the IT Crowd and have fully enjoyed this series. Some of the jokes were hilarious. Like the discussion at the dinner party about Jen’s new boyfriend’s name. Peter File lmao absolute genius. This show has been a breath of fresh air and well worth seeing. Ignore these reviews, thoroughly entertaining and funny.

Oh dear. seaweed has very low expectations, or is taking the piss. Get a group of professional comedians and critics together and ask them to form a top 100 list of sitcoms ever, and IT Crowd wouldn’t even make it. The writing is very poor, with unoriginal and obvious gags, add that to the fact most of the acting is very lackluster, and you have something which is immediately forgettable.

    October 2nd, 2007 | 00:31

Peter file (pedophile) is a genius idea for a joke? The amount of times they used that joke was a sign of desperation and lack of creativity from the makers of the program. If you find that hilarious you really need to get your head from out the sand. If you’re a young teenager though I can forgive you for not having a clue.

Loved them all. British Comedy Rules. Sadly US stuff is always average. Thank god they aren’t destroying it like they did The Office.

Rob. Thats the best scene of all! ROTFL “Alright lads, lest get a sing song going. Its a long way back to Manchester!”. That and when in season 1 Moss blows lies out of proportion and tells everyone Jen is dead and the fake Elton performs. The series has/had some highlights. I wont be sad to see the show go, but i would download series 3 if its coming. :) And Lee.. Chill out DUDE! Theres so much crap beeing produced in Hollywood at the moment, along with some exellent series aswell! But you saying its all good just goes to show that you don’t know what your talking about.

That post made me laugh. Reminded me of when Richmond is warning them about going to the theatre.

love the show. People need to just lighten the fcuk up.

The US Office is a great show man!! It’s right u p there with the original IMO.

    ———-

My favourite moment from the IT crowd is when Jen goes into the kitchen looking for Richmond and he’s stuck to the ceiling. Genius.

BEST COMEDY SERIES EVER. But you need a bit of knowledge about the world around you to get all the jokes. German Cannibal episode owned big time. Rednecks and ignorants will hate it, since they do not get the jokes. Haters in general will not get it, and then use their favorite word many times in a post: Fag

Funny how a word can have so many meanings

    1. (UK and Australia, slang) A cigarette.
    2. (UK, slang) A chore; an arduous and tiresome task.
    3. (US, UK, Australia, slang, pejorative) A male homosexual.Note: Sometimes used jocularly between homosexuals.

    4. (US, slang, pejorative) A jerk, an asshole.

Why did you do that, you fag?

    5. (UK, archaic) Term used in UK public schools for a younger student acting as a servant for senior students.
    6. (US, technical) In textile inspections, a rough or coarse defect in the woven fabric.
    7. (US, technical) A pv cell that is no longer in use.

“Why the fuck do we have to read posts about this fuckin show full of queers every time an episode of this shit surfaces?”

Well you don’t, no one forces you to read each and every post. You don’t like the show, short answer, don’t read the posts about the episode releases.

I really don’t understand you guys.

    @ lee welton

Yup, I sure am. But atleast I have an opinion that doesn’t reside around my head being stuck up my ass. If you don’t like the show that’s great, there’s no need to start a political bashing debate.

Listen Dave. The IT Crowd is a great show. Stop finding faults with genuinely entertaining TV. Don’t be such a fussy shithead. Get a life already. The IMDB rating shows how many people clearly disagree with ur pathetic analysis of the show. 8.9 out of 10 after almost 2000 ratings. It speaks for itself.
