The IT Crowd S02E03 WS PDTV XviD-ANGELiC

The IT Crowd is personally one of my favourite television show at the moment. If you haven’t heard of it before its a British sitcom that revolves around the IT support team at a fictitious London corporation. There are lots of refrences to ‘geek’ culture as well some great writing and direction. The show has been running for two seasons and even has an American remake on the way as well. This is the third episode of the 2nd season and is the latest episode to air. This particular episode has very funny parody on the anti-piracy notices you see at the beginning of films as well. Defiantly worth the watch and i would recommend it to anyone.

Episode Summary:
Embarking on a weekend watching DVDs at Roy’s flat, Moss realises that his life is stagnating. Jen suggests he meet other people, although Moss enrolling on a German cookery course probably wasn’t what she had in mind. Meanwhile, Jen finds that the only place in the building she can enjoy a cigarette these days is a smoking area not unlike Soviet Russia…

For what it’s worth, that’s a live audience instead of a laugh track. Nearly the same level of annoyence though.

yep, its a real live audience. On the remake tho, there will defiently be a lough track, I would bet on it.
(imagine that.. its still running and just in its seconds season and there will already be a US remake… Cant they just market this to the US? Why remake it? Its a great original show, with an awesome cast and verry well written, and they are just going to turn it in to a mediocre rip-off.)

this so is such BULLSHIT. Seriously. Why in the name of the unholy fuck would someone do this some kind of show? What can be the motive behind it. It’s a shame that they do this kind of bulldick.

i was watching this tv show from the very beginning and although the first episodes were simply hilarious, it started to be little boring lately, especially the s02e02 was really bad, they are running out of ideas.

This show is a little mainstream but S02E01 and this episode are sooo funny. Especially the anti piracy notice!! Black Books is funnier but I wouldn’t go to the effort of posting that this “some kind of show” is bullshit.

If you are looking for comedy without a laughter track check out “Flight of The Conchords”

@duhhhhh: It’s a pity there will be no more Black Books. One of my favourites.

They are doing remake, cause viewers in US does not understand it. They need “special versions” of everything… even games … I remember when Czech Mafia was released, all Europe was amazed, but US players were complaining about defficulty, and they did another (much much) easier version of game for them. Isn’t it funny ?

U.S. follower here. This episode had at least 9 absolute howls. I listen to the acting and not the laugh track. I think the bigger reason for the U.S. version is more that Channel 4 blocks U.S. ips, and the only way we get the show is online downloading. Word of mouth on this side is strong enough to encourage advertisers to back the remake. And Moss will be doing both shows.

nightrovr – couldn’t they just sell the show to a US network? that’d make more sense than remaking the whole thing…

I think the point was that no they can’t just bring it over. Plus I bet they’d subtitle it as if I can’t understand it. I was very very afraid they meant “Big Bang” to be a remake TIC. It is amazing how much of the stuff being pumped out for the big/little screen is repackaged from better material. Heck the “best movie” award went to a pretty literal remake this year. I am so happy this “international website thing” allows me to see so much good stuff from everywhere.
