The Invasion PROPER DVDRip XviD-iMBT

iMBT re-released The Invasion tonight, as the first release became nuked for CBR audio. I haven’t noticed the bad quality of the sound, so this may be considered as another of these scene-standards nukes, which don’t affect the viewers experience. Anyway, it’s good to have the proper version if you haven’t downloaded the first one. Check our previous post for more info about the movie.

    If you already downloaded the Asister release, don’t bother taking this proper, else download the proper, it will have a slightly better audio.

    However, it’s still xvid + mp3 :/
    I know scene rules is all about greater compatibility, but it would be nice seeing the scene groups switch to h264 + ogg/ac3

    Previous release had cbr audio as well as dual mono.
    If you view the audio stream you see identical waveforms on both right and left channels…and that is not cool for a thriller movie such as this one.

    watched it last night and it wasn’t that bad nor great. If you like the old body snatcher stuff than your pretty much getting another dose of it. None of those movies were earth shattering.

    o.k., now I had a look at the waveforms of the “-AsiSter” release (the original, first release that is said to have ‘dual mono’ audio). I have demuxed the audio in virtualdub and have loaded the mp3 in Native Instrument’s Soundforge audio editor: The two channels are by no means the same. This is stereo. Real stereo.

    If I haven’t heard nor seen the audio of this ‘propered’ iMBT release, but if the new audio is really new AND better, then the new audio must be just hyper – because the nuked audio is not missing anything and is of immaculate quality, as far as my ears are concerned.

    If you think I am wrong, then just demux the audio and have a look at it in an audio editor. Maybe subtract the left channel off the right channel and you will NOT get an empty channel.

    and btw: most importantly I really enjoyed The Invasion. Not so much in the beginning, but when the two were at that czech party, and all the newsflashs in the background of peace agreements, seeing George W Bush in harmony with Hugo Chavez and Kim Jong Il, giving that horrible threat of alien bodysnatching invasion this positively peaceful aspect, increasingly throughout the movie, was really sort of funny. Quite intelligent actually. In the two earlier bodysnatcher movies the alien invasion was portrayed as nothing but terrible.

    Yes, the audio on the first one (AsiSter) is in sync, and no the AsiSter is not not in stereo. The AsiSter IS in stereo. dual channel does not mean mono. Most of the time, ‘dua channel’ means stereo.

    there’s nothing wrong with the CBR audio on the previous release, but it’s in dual mono. it has been nuked for dual mono. i haven’t downloaded the previous one as i waited for a proper release so i’m going to take this one.

    If you are over 18, mentally, you will enjoy the movie. Nicole and co-star do a fine job and the foul language is limited.

    No offense children but some movies are designed to turn you off so that adults can anjoy them ALONE.
