The History Channel Mega Disasters Gamma Ray Burst WS PDTV XviD-FTP

From mega structures to mega disasters. Familiar group FTP gives us this show. The Gamma Ray Burst ‘GRB’ phenomenon is familiar to me. In The Universe S01E12, they covered magnetars, black holes, galaxy merges and gamma ray bursts. The difference between The Universe episode about gamma ray bursts, this program further expands on gamma ray bursts – such as the history of scientific discoveries of gamma rays, and then the discovery of real GRBs in the 60s. The brightness of a GRB is approximately equivalent to a billion trillion times our own Sun. The mega disasters series is a giant ‘what-if’ with expert interviews, computer animations and simulated scenarios. We can’t get enough doom-and-gloom so here’s some more.

Gamma-Ray Burst: Series exploring how America might cope with potential disasters. Examining the potentially devastating impact of a gamma-ray burst.

Forget gamma ray bursts. There is a meteor heading our way with an arrival date sometime around 2018. Scientists believe it could, possibly, pass close enough to knock the earth off it’s axis. No kidding! I just heard about this the other day. But, our astute world governments, with completely F’D UP prioities, are more concerned with digital piracy/aka the corporate bottom line. Those dumbarses would blame file sharing for their own inability to focus on issues like armageddon. Sad but true… I’ll watch this pirated hypothetical scare flick and participate in the destruction of our planet. LOL! FTW!
