Here’s just a quick post about a new low-budget hip hop documentary. It was filmed with $10,000 budget so you can expect a quality of a slightly better home video. Standard 1 CD release with mp3 audio in this STV rip from DOMiNO.
In the beginning hip-hop culture was all about having fun, dancing with friends, and gaining knowledge - but somewhere along the line everything went wrong. These days hip-hop culture seems to be defined by materialism, explicit sexuality, and rampant violence. How did this happen to a culture that was once so intent on rising up, inspiring creativity, and making great music. Could it be that a once vibrant and thriving culture is now on a disheartening decline.

You’re right kazam. There’s a whole world of positive hip hop that’s barely even on the radar, though it thrives just the same outside of the mass produced garbage that infiltrates mainstream radio.
The “MTV culture of material rap” is rotting itself to the core, and yet mindless people everywhere still feed the monotony of repetitive, same-sounding, go-nowhere garbage by investing in the very flash that makes it empty.
I do love hip hop music and the true culture as it began. Check out The Cool Kids, Blue Scholars, Common Market and Dyme Def for a bit of what’s happening from Chicago to Seattle (where the hip hop scene is very much positive and alive).

I’m not really a big hip hop fan but i’ve always been fascinated by the way that what was once a fun, party music style has been hijacked by such explicit materialism and sexuality.

Wow thanks #24, that torrent link was the fastest I have ever come across. I never got 300+ KB download speed on a torrent before and I’ve been on an 8Mbps connection for a year. Thats something I only experienced on NZB files. Took like a half hour to DL through torrent!

In reality, and if you must divide by race (as hip hop is multi-cultural), white people commit more violent crime(serial killers, school shooters, and random gun crime is almost all non-black), own the porn industry which peddles, almost exclusively, to the black community these days, and a massive majority of the world’s wealth (and therefore owners of the majority of material goods), is controlled by the non-black.
Interestingly enough, more white kids (the ones with the cash) buy hip hop music than any other group on the planet, thereby driving the industry and “the American Black mentality” (or stereotype, as it actually is), in the direction it has taken.
Those porn peddlers I mentioned earlier also are often funded by the same corporations that feed the music industry which sells the music with the message that whites eat up at an alarming rate. All you need to do is raise a teen in today’s United States to know that this is true.
Or you can believe what you are told and conditioned to believe. It’s your conscience, though, and you’re free to ignore it. Just don’t expect things to magically get better if you do.

Why is this a race debate?
Music is made and listened to across the spectrum of all cultures/races/religions. Why can’t we all just appreciate the sound and how it makes us feel, rather than judge others for what they have done or may do.

It wasn’t a race debate, it was a discussion of the subject matter of this documentary. It became racial when a silly, assumptive statement was made outside of that realm. The “Crime Rates”, etc., have nothing to do with the music or the culture. It’s just an excuse to spread more “information”.
In reference to “Crime Rates”, I doubt I could begin to refute such wonderfully documented evidence as has been presented (it would seem fair to see your sources supporting the numbers). But I would like to throw a couple of terms in the direction of those numbers. Entitlement and privilege.
The numbers that aren’t reflected in any of that evidence, are population by race, and how that effects the bottom line.

What you aren’t saying is that hate crimes are largely committed against blacks, not whites. “66.4 percent were victims of an offender’s anti-black bias.” While “21.0 percent were victims of an anti-white bias.”
Offenders “58.6 percent were white.” “20.6 percent were black.”
75% of the U.S. population is white, while only 12% is black. Doesn’t take a math whiz to see why interracial crime numbers lean the way they do.
Blacks are also less likely to be able to afford decent representation to defend themselves if they have been wrongly charged. As has been clearly represented recently in a growing number of decades old convictions being overturned by newly revealed dna evidence. This also points to a strong likelihood that these people were incarcerated out of hatred and racism. Interracial crime committed by whites, but not recorded or included in statistics.
Until all states allow these cases to be reopened (if they indeed ever do), it will remain unclear just how many blacks have been wrongly incarcerated, but it is surely a large number.

This is almost completely due to non-violent drug crime resulting from the governments decision to arrest rather than treat. Whites are largely responsible for theft crime, and in turn increased incarceration stats since meth hit the streets.
Poverty has a strong and lasting influence on those it affects, regardless of race. There is plenty of evidence to support this, and it also suggests why so many Hispanics and blacks are counted within these numbers so highly.
Remember, entitlement and privilege. White crime will rise again as food, fuel and jobs become scarce. The only question is, how many will actually be counted in these statistics. If history continues on the same course, you can bet “not too many” is the answer.

The thing is this. There is no doubt that blacks get the short straw, and most of that is their own doing, but whites obviously contribute. The problem? Why are blacks world wide such a problem where others such as Hispanics and Asians have thrived world wide?

I also used to be a truck driver from San Diego to LA. That was a real eye opener as well. I have never been assaulted by any whites, mexicans or asians. I have been assaulted twice by black males.

While this shouldn’t really be a race debate, I do agree about the crime statistics, they are fact. I was once told by a copper ‘off record’ that “80% (or something around that mark) of crime in London is caused by blacks.
Before I start sounding really racist, I’d like to say that I do not judge individuals based upon their race, if they’re good people then great! I know a fair few genuinely wonderful black people and I enjoy their company. I don’t however, mix with the ones in the ghettos (I tend not to go there) and most of the youths clearly have serious attitude problems.
Now this is where I’m going to sound racist (I don’t think it is though, it is reality). I believe that blacks are less evolved than whites, and that Asians are even more evolved then the both of them. Facial features are a key element here, over time, with evolution, all of our facial features have been getting more compact. You just have to look at a medieval face reconstructed from an old skull and you can see how big their noses were for starters.
Funnily enough, that correlates with the crime figures that were posted here and guess what? It also correlates with the international IQ figures which puts blacks at the bottom, with whites just below the Asians at the top.
