Did anyone actually come to a conclusion about why the plants were causing the ‘event’, cos I waiting for a real explanation at the end, as opposed to some guy talking on the TV just before the final scene.
My thoughts were that it was caused *if not in the air already* by CONFLICT situations, I realised it at the beginning and then every ‘happening’ was preceeded by an arguement or someone shouting.
[*it was already in the air when they entered princeton although they weren't arguing in the jeep]
Examples:
-In the field, where the larger group shot themselves with the soldier’s gun, after they’d had an small argument
-Ms. Jones after she shouted at Elliot in the house and then killed herself.
-Not specifically an example but, the reactions of the trees (and the moving swing on the tree) as the two young boys were trying to kick in the door of the boarded house where the people were living (when they were shot).
Give it a thought.
so whats the word on the audio quality? Is it good enough to not notice if you don’t care about AC3/DTS? I only really care that it has stereo and is in sync with the movie.

I usually don’t post anything, but with all the people posting and complaining about how much the movie sucks it bothers me. Who cares if you personally didn’t like the movie? These are the same people who thought 300 was the best movie they ever saw. If the movie makes you think don’t label a horrible or stupid. If it didn’t end the way you wanted, don’t cry. Movies are a form of art and no one can put a label on taste. Some people like broccoli, some don’t. I personally like movies that leave a thought, something with a plot.

I found the movie ok & not awful. I also found no problems with the sound. Only minor thing is that there is no sound at the beginning & end credits unless that was the way the movie was made. At least the sound is where it counts at the beginning to the end of the movie.

The audio in this release is poor. It sounds like whatever was used to record it had the levels set too high, and keeps overloading – there are soft pops every time this happens, which is pretty much every time someone speaks. Similar to when you speak to loud into a microphone.

Another M. Night Shyamalan flop – this movie sucked donkey balls… the only M. Night Shyamalan movie was the sixth sense – everything else has sucked arse.

There is a BaLD release of The Happening. There are fake links as usual, so only download from a source you know/trust.
As I mentioned above, the audio sucks though in the BaLD release, so bad that I recommend waiting for another realease.

Used adrive, one-click, Dl’d over night (on the 5th try) super nice quality, previous cam version was good, but edited out some of the gore, then I realized the last bit was in french, went back to RLSlog, got the link from a poster for the subs, hooked them up super fast (a soon-to-be-freezing man says something at the last moment that is not subbed). My point is all the dedicated posters and editors made it easy and simple to get what you need. My hat’s off to the folks putting up all the links, mirrors, etc. Thanks to BaLD for the excellent release.
