The Happening CAM XViD-CAMERA
nDn released a CAM of this film, but CAMERA have released one from another source and without the subtitles. This has already been nuked for bad ar (aspect ratio), so we might very well see a proper appear soon. Reading their NFO, it seems that CAMERA was a bit grumpy today (can’t have helped when your release got nuked eh?). Too bad we can’t all just be buddies.
Quality: It’s a CAM, you know what the deal is. Unsaturated colors and generally the lowest quality release you will find. I definitely think this will be a film worth waiting for or going to the cinema for. I trust M. Night has something good in store for us with this one.

This ain’t much better…at all…
Saw this in the theater. It was bad, bad, BAD. We were laughing out loud at the “graphic gore” and at the horrible “emotional” scenes. This is the first movie I’ve ever gone to that I wanted to get up and walk out of. This is by far the worst M. Night Shamalamadingdong movie; Yes, even worse than “Lady in the Water”.

You can think a movie is horrible…so horrible that you feel compelled to warn others about how bad it is… Such is the case with this “film.” I won’t go into detail about the copious flaws since it might “ruin” it for whomever is unfortunate enough to check it out. I just thought the story and acting were horrible.

you are right about the grown up thing.
I went to the cinema to see this on friday, and while I wouldnt agree this is “the worst movie ever” Id have to agree that attempts at showing emotion, and humour (the intended stuff) between the characters was done very badly. The whole movie does little to explain why “The Happening” is erm, happening. And rests its laurels on a quick quote about nature just doing things unexplained sometimes, and a tale about the disappearance of bees (which is actually true). There are a few effective scenes ie. the one with the workmen on the building site at the start - which is quite unsettling, but the rest of the movie just doesnt live up.
I’m glad these are terrible copies.I spent a year of my life on this film the least you lot could do is go to the cinema and pay for a ticket.
I’m currently workingon the sequel.

It has a couple of suspenseful moments, but overall it’s pretty much below average. TBH those that suggest watching the hulk are probably onto something

This was definitely a horrible movie. I watched a different cam copy last night, and really thought this would be a good movie. It wasn’t. No twisted ending, not easy to follow storyline, not your typical M. Night Shalayam (or however you spell it). You wanna see it, don’t waste your money in the theater, just download it.

Awful movie. Just awful. It started off with a bang and pretty much was just smoke after that. It’s got a green message which just pisses me off, too. And the green message is a flawed one, which is just great. Lame social commentary, too. It was like gore-porn without much gore. Absolutely no suspense. Nothing at all left to the imagination. Just stupid. Very slow. Horrible interplay between the characters.
It’s funny that the people who liked the movie say it’s for adults and to go watch the hulk if you don’t like it. Well for starters, does that mean essentially every critic in the world is a child? Or have you guys seen the hulk and it’s just really kickass? Or do you all just think all adults are brain-dead & into extremely superficial movies with no depth (I know that’s a little redundant)?
