Sorry for the site going down, maybe because of these releases? Enjoy this copy of the hangover, best one out! AR doesn’t look 100% right, but still:) Note: You can change your aspect ratio on many movie players (16:9)

Two days before his wedding, Doug and his three friends drive to Las Vegas for a blow-out bachelor party they’ll never forget. But, in fact, when the three groomsmen wake up the next morning, they can’t remember a thing. For some reason, they find a tiger in the bathroom and a six-month-old baby in the closet of their suite at Caesars Palace. The one thing they can’t find is Doug. With no clue as to what transpired and little time to spare, the trio must retrace their hazy steps and all their bad decisions in order to figure out where things went wrong and hopefully get Doug back to L.A. in time to walk down the aisle.

    This copy is clear as sh!t, R5 quality BUT that aspect ratio is completely fvcked.

    FORTUNATELY
    If you place this and "force aspect ratio" to 16:9 it looks PERFECT. I checked this with media player classic but most media players as well as television have an aspect ratio button so it's an easy fix

    I know this is a p2p release but it should still get a proper considering how great the quality is.

    DDC is nothing new, though this could be a new source someone on the inside is able to get access to. Both T4 and Hangover are WB movies hence the below could apply.

    i thought this was terrible, i have NO idea why it is so highly rated. was there something i missed cos i dont understand why this, pinapple express and sex drive (the same plot in all) seem to do so well criticall and on imdb? i hope mainstream us comedy wont settle down on this format

    wow ! …just saw the sample !

    considering how early this is…

    after aspect ratio fix,

    v = a = 8 !

    Although , audio is only 56 kbps ! … not even 128 .. so yea that f-ing low !

    so audio aint all the crisp .. but a huge improvement over the TS..

    lol @ person who said this has the same plot as pineapple express. They're completely different movies.

    I can't comment about sex drive as I havent seen it. But seriously, thinking that The Hangover and Pineapple Express have the same story makes me think that you either:

    a) havent watched the movie
    b) were drunk while watching both movies.
    c) werent paying any attention at all to the movie

    Oh and also, I hope someone comes out with a copy of I love you man soon, I loved that movie. This movie was funny, a good watch with freidns, but a little too vulgur for me.

    Pineapple Express on the other hand was really clean compared to this movie, so was I love You Man. Even tho they were still vulgur.

    The dvd release for the movie is only a month away, I would think we'd have r5 or a dvdscr by now.

    Actually, MKV or matroksa is far superior to AVI.
    MKV and AVI are just containers, they are not codecs.
    MKV can have an xvid encoded movie in it just like AVI.

    MKV is far better because it can contain chapters, subtitles etc all inside the container, it was designed because AVI has so many limits though unfortuantely many people like yourself get confused and also because it is newish there isn't much support for it out there especially on standalone players.

    AVI is very _old_ technology now.

    original aspect ratio looks like crap, but if you play it in VLC player and select 16:9 ratio in the video options it looks perfect.

    Usually Convert2DVD does work wonders but not on this one mate. Even tried newer version. Still leaves some bars on the sides even when set to 16:9. Just grab proper and hope for the best…

    After you change the aspect ratio to 16:9, go to the Video Processing tab and change the resize method to User Defined. That seemed to work for me, no bars on the side and the aspect ratio comes out fine.

    For ps3 owners. Google mkv2vob. download that and then make output file vob and check the box for always transcode DTS. put vob file on a flash drive and put in ps3. click triangle until you get to full screen and you have good AR

    MKV is also a very old file container and it's never caught on…because no one actually likes it, if anyone did then there would be much more support for it and users praising its functionality,
    instead you get people going "huh?"
    seems most anyone that's interested in using a different format than AVI use MP4, but again, it's not as good on a whole…when considering all the pros and cons

    In case anybody wants to fix the Aspect ratio for good by patching the file, here's how:

    - fire up your favorite HEX editor
    - goto address 0×20F and change from 04 to 10
    - goto address 0×213 and change from 03 to 09
    - Save changes
    - Enjoy the flick!

    riddle me this then how is avi superior to mkv? (apart from the fact it is more widely supported which is the biggest downfall of mkv)
    MKV was created because of the shortcomings of AVI.
    MKV is going to be used more and more with blueray rips cause they can shove all the subtitles into the container, multiple audio streams, menus, chapters. That is something that just can't be done with an avi container.

    Just because something isn't popular does not mean it isn't better. You can see just from the comments in here by certain users how uninformed people are about things.

    The fact that bush got elected twice just shows that popular does not at all equal what is best.

    History has proven many times that popularity has nothing to do with what is best.. hell mp3 is still here and the dominant audio format :)

    out of sync???????

    Is anyone else burning this using convertxtoDVD????

    Never normaly have any problems when converting these to dvd but with this it is OUT OF SYNC once played on the dvd player. VLC media player plays it fine.

    Just wondered if anyone knows how I can solve this????

    The Hangover 2009 DDC XVID-FLAWL3SS

    This release is in AVI format, the aspect ratio seems to be fixed and the picture is a little more saturated. In my opinion a lot better than the P"P release. It may not be better than the original 1.6gb version (which I haven't seen), but regardless it's not bad.

    avi is better simply because it can play on my dvd player.

    Widely adopted? Yes, plays on my dvd player? Yes! Therefore, in my mind it's much better. To carry on your analogy Fred I wouldn't go out and buy a BETAMAX video just because it was better quality .. after all it still wouldn't play in my VHS player.

    Well yeah that is like saying a cassette is better because you don't have a cd player.

    I was talking about the superiority of the format which has nothing to do with whether your dvd player can handle the format or not.

    Spend $20 and buy an old xbox, it will play it with ease and does far more than dvd players out there in the shops.

    You can watch .mkv files (and any other possible files) on KM Player (http://kmplayer.en.softonic.com/). I think, there is no better player than this one. You dont even need any codecs, because it has already in it. To change aspect ratio just choose pan&scan in "preferences", there are plenty of options.
    But I have one question: what DDC stands for?

    I don't understand… Why do we have to adjust this and adjust this and adjust that to make this version work???
    Is it because it is a MKV? If so, why would anyone make it a MKV?

    Can someone anyone give me a single extraction avi copy of this film please, all this changing of aspect ratios and mkv files is stupid…has anyone heard of the term "If ain't broke don't fix!" avi maybe old technology, but in this day and age some people still use it…if you did it with T4 film do it to this film please….

    For all PS3 owners that want to play MKV files
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Two simple options:

    1) PS3 Media Server – Streams 720p MKV files fine, (did stream some 1080p films but started judering towards the end of the film) converts as it streams so no mucking around with converting it and then putting it on to flash drive/HDD/DVD-DL – it's free!

    2)MKV2VOB – if you can't stream it then use this.

    Yah i have to agree with #46, the movie wasn't as good as everyone said it was. I was actually very disappointed. I don't agree on Sex Drive being a crap movie, that was the funniest movies i've seen in a while

    Yes, AVI is "old technology," but SOME of us have DivX players that let us watch Xvid encodes on TV like a normal human.

    MKV is fine if you don't mind being a stereotypical computer nerd, spending your whole life in front of a monitor. Some of us have friends who we'd like to watch movies with, and watching on a big screen is vastly superior to a normal LCD monitor.

    mkv file converts to 4700MB and won't fit on single density DVD, and no audio in converted file in last few chapters

    if you want to play this stuff on your tv, get a "popcorn hour". plays almost any file, supports high definition, and has hdmi, component outputs, and optical sound. Has network capability, you can load in your own hard drive (I put a 1.5 TB one in mine). The thing can even download torrents for you. The new version that's coming out will even have support for streaming video sites and its own downloader. Mine just sits near my high def screen, and is on my network as a "network drive". So easy.
