The Great Debaters DVDSCR XViD-CAMERA

What a really nice surprise to add to the ever growing list of movies released this weekend. The Great debaters is the latest Denzel Washington movie that doesn’t even hit the theaters till Christmas day has just been been released in a DVDSCR by group CAMERA. The quality is pretty good for a DVDSCR but as usual their is the annoyance of the occasional watermark. What other nice surprises does this weekend hold? Only time will tell.

Oscar winner Denzel Washington directs and stars in this drama set in the segregated South. Washington plays a debate coach who takes a Texas college team from obscurity to a showdown with Harvard’s renowned students.

    @89 sasha[reska]:

    How is the screener? 700 MB or 1,4 GB?
    What is the horizontal video resolution?
    I am totally excited! Won’t wait for Ethan and Joel Cohen. They made too many too amazingly funny dark movies (Fargo, Big Lebowsky, etc.pp.)

    No Country for Old Man (imdb-ratings)
    User Rating: 8.9/10 (21,813 votes)!!!

    @102 boss:

    (thanks for the xdrive link):
    “got this movie in about 6 minutes flat @ 2 mbits a second”

    Impossible! – you either have a 16 mbit/s (=2 MByte/s) line, or you wait 47 minutes (on 2 mbit/s) for a 706 MB file.

    I see: You do have a 16 mbit/s line. I envy you.

    I do absolutely bow down and second the thanks for the xdrive link, though.

    @105 Tom:
    You are so right – first 230 MB at max speed (240 KByte/s), and then a rapid drop down to 6 KByte/s (six kilobytes/second)! In like 20 hours the file will be down :-)

    Finally, I got yastorage to start !
    Talk about non-intuitive. Wow! Usually, the link is all the words that are underlined. Not just one letter — in this case, the letter, F, in “Downloading File”
    I hope this works better than Adrive. 8 attempts with no success (fully completed download) when I tried grabbing “3:10 to Yuma” and “Atonement”. Makes me wonder if my Cox ISP in Arizona is F’ing with it.
    Thanks, Tito!
    PS – yastorage failed after getting 9 MB. Will try again…

    Thanks alot for this film. I heard nothing about this until I learned that it’s a Denzel film based on a True Story. Can’t wait to see this.

    And thanks Blade Runner for the Blade Runner links. I’ve been wanting to see the Final Cut. Thanking you indeed.

    Happy Holidays everybody.

    My results with cable connection with advertised rates of 15down-2up.
    xdrive, three hours plus of dl, 55% done;speed currently @ 65kBs; says 81 minutes remaining.

    adrive (thanks kudos & happy holidays Tito) complete dl in 20 minutes, while xdrive drones away.

    Will allow xdrive to finish & compare results.

    Thanks to all @ RLSLOG.

    Hats off to Tito. I’ve become a recent lover of ADrive often it will end the download before completion resulting in necessary re-downloads. YAStorage just went through 100% first time and with similar excellent transfer rates. I, like others, couldn’t work out how to get the download started (they certainly make it a puzzle) so I much appreciate the instructions. Video is widescreen, crisp and clear. Nice job to uploader, poster and YAStorage. :)
    Merry crimbo.

    adrive…20 minute dl; works in all media players.

    xdrive…11 hour dl; only works in VLC.

    I use a 8gb Seagate flash drive & play in a stand alone Philips to TV; as the xdrive dl won’t play on this it is useless to me.

    From what I have seen the two files are the same other than this.

    Tito – Thanks for the Adrive link. It actually worked this time…maybe because it’s 2am here in AZ and my local COX ISP isn’t blocking or screwing with my downloads.
