why is it every time a film that features a predominately African American cast no matter what the convo here is always about race?…you cant just put a film up and tell us the quality of the vid and audio and leave it as it…the mere fact that race and racism was brought into the discussion alone leaves little doubt where that persons mind is…stuck in Jimcrow….doesnt matter to me anyway….I can tell you this much…with China and is over a billion plus population and fastest growing economy….white folks got their share of things to be concerned about….

who the hell cares, its hyping all this race thing up that makes it important. Petty, forget about it and get on with what your here for. Dowloading movies. If you like it, you like it, if not.. move on. Dont bring it down to race. Pathetic……..

Audio and Video quality is very good, download and see if it makes you laugh.. if not… theres always the recycle bin.

first of all, everybody is racist if only unconsciously and to a limited extent, not least members of ‘minorities’.

i welcome racists and all other kinds of comments

mrx is either a fool [ignorant of the connotations of the phrases he uses] or a clever provocateur who is laughing at all the predictable and boring pc comments on his posts

all comments so far have focused on mrx’s statement about who this torrent is for. but mrx made an earlier comment which is inescapable racist, current standards of interpretation.

he said “Black comedians usually are good anyways.”

it does not matter at all whether this is true or not

it does not matter whether mrx INTENDED any slur

the fact is that he gratuitously interjects race where it need not be mentioned

the person discussed is a COMEDIAN

it can be perceived by racially sensitive people that mrx is being condescending or insulting by jumping to generalities about ‘black comedians’, just as if he would say, “oh, yeah and they all like watermelon too”

i suspect this intellectual distinction is far beyond the apprehension of most commentors here

New poll idea:

“What should Releaselog do about the comments issue?”

1) Require all users to register to post?

2) Remove comments all-together?

3) Let them run wild (As is)

I am sure that anyone who can be bothered to post any meaningful content (links etc), are the kind of people who would register.

I like reading the comments here, but lately things are getting outa control.. and it’s not always the users.

Don’t get me wrong, I love this site and it’s my fav on the net, it just seems clear to me that something needs to be done.

The extreme miserableness of the PC-minded is evidenced by the fact that this Christmas in Australia (where I live), Santa’s weren’t allowed to say “ho ho ho”. They had to say “ha ha ha”.

Why?

Because “ho’” is slang for “whore”. In America. We don’t say “ho’” here. Except, until recently, in successions of three. Or on Talk Like a Pirate Day, often preceded by “heave” or “land”. Are we saying “look, a land of whores, drop anchor” or “heave that whore outta here”? I don’t think so.

It’s ridiculous. And afaik it’s Ebonics, which is simply not present in Aus. Yet it was banned. The entire population of the planet, black, white and green with pink stripes, looked at us like, WTF?

Anyway.. Ebonics.. I love that word now, I learned something. Its use by Mr.X probably indicates he’s better read than the majority of people who complain about his use of language. That’s ironic, foo’.
