The Golden Compass TS XviD-SMP
A first scene telesync of The Golden Compass appeared few moments ago. It was instantly nuked for CBR audio, but that’s nothing which would affect your viewers experience that much. Anyway, this is still the same TBG’s cam source just with direct audio, which isn’t bad but the volume is pretty low. The samples look a bit overcropped to me as well, so I would rather suggest to wait for a better copy, as this movie contains many fast action scenes.
Based on author Philip Pullman’s bestselling and award-winning novel, The Golden Compass tells the first story in Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy. The Golden Compass is an exciting fantasy adventure, set in an alternative world where people’s souls manifest themselves as animals, talking bears fight wars, and Gyptians and witches co-exist. At the center of the story is Lyra (played by newcomer Dakota Blue Richards), a 12-year-old girl who starts out trying to rescue a friend who’s been kidnapped by a mysterious organization known as the Gobblers - and winds up on an epic quest to save not only her world, but ours as well.

I just wish the movie itself was worth watching. Like I wrote in my blog I read the book, and shouldn’t have touched the movie with a ten foot red hot poker, it’s that bad.
The two thing that’re good about the movie are the actors and the effects. A cam won’t do the effects justice, and much of the actors will be blurry :p

I personaly liked the movie a lot. who doesnt like a polar bear head butting a bad guy into the ground? really though, great movie, cam doesnt do it justice.

It’s watchable, but would prefer these things to not zoom in to avoid foreign subs, and just show the whole screen.

I think that full surround plays significant role in watching experience but posting TS or any preDVD is great job from you guys.
TSs look horrible, period. It’s a waste of time and irritates produces.

IMDB isnt a good way of judging a films quality anymore, casing point ‘No Country for Old Men’, #21 in top rating of 8. something… complete waste of 2 hours. One of those films you watch thinking ‘What? Oh itl get better soon…’ then it ends stupidly.
Still, saying that, Im gonna get this when I can get a DVDscr or something comprable.

The fact that VBR is the scene standard cannot have been missed by anyone involved with the scene, even less by a scene group. So WHY is there still alot of releases that have CBR audio? Do thay want to get nuked, or are thay too lazy to change in their encoding program? BTW I think that CBR is a lame reason for a nuke, but its not my call. So if there is a scene standard, why not follow it?
any idea how long a TC or R5 will be now there is a TS.

Sure, There’s a God in it(the book that is) but no reference to christ at all in either the book or the film. And if you have read the book as you say, then you’ll know that the god figure in it is a frail, harmless old thing who’s been usurped by one of his underlings and craves the release of death.

I quite agree IMDB is not a cast iron method for assesing quality. However, “No Country for Old Men” was great and for you to run it down for the brief reasons you did kind of highlights the weakness of IMDB. Most people using it are morons.
Some films no one in their right mind would actually watch, hence you have a crap load of idiots commenting with no opposition. Then you have big fantasy epics and sci fi extravaganzas, all the fanboys come out of the woodwork for these and push ratings through the roof.
