The Golden Compass PROPER DVDRiP XViD-PUKKA

Well PUKKA today came out of their little hiddy hole and released a proper of The Golden Compass. They claimed that BeStDivX release was overcroped (image here). I was personally hopeing for a two CD release but its still the 1 CD 700 MB quality. If you missed out on the last release get this one and enjoy.

Synopsis: THE GOLDEN COMPASS is an adaptation of the first book in the beloved but controversial fantasy series by Phillip Pullman. The story opens with Lyra Belacqua (Dakota Blue Richards) an orphan girl who lives in an alternate world that is similar to earth, but where people’s souls exist outside of their bodies in animal form. The people are ruled by a shadowy and oppressive council known as the Magisterium, which is doing it’s best to keep everyone from getting information about what is called “Dust.” Lyra’s Uncle Asriel (Daniel Craig) has been researching Dust, and he has seen to it that Lyra is given safe shelter at Jordan College.

    the DVDscr seemed fine to me. 2 CD release.
    I enjoyed the movie. The CGI is crazy awesome.

    When is the scene going to get with the times and change their rules. They need to go with 2cd so we can actually utilise our surround sound especially for movies like these! It should be up to the releaser’s on whether they should release 2cd or 1cd.

    Maybe someone should start a breakaway scene ;)

    seen this when it was screener and it was perfect. no reason to download 1 cs most likely cheaper quality. and as for is this movie any good. whoever is thinking if they should or should not get it i would say download it. i thought it was a good movie.

    Melbrit: That movie sounds like The Island.

    Anyways, Golden Compass was a huge disappointment. Sort of like Eragon, where all the commercials led you to believe this awesome dragon was going to blow you away…… and then the dragon ruins your $9.00 by opening it’s mouth…and talking…with a woman’s voice. ‘Compass had everyone excited too, but the fighting Bear thingy just isn’t enough to save it from being an utter disappointment.

    I know it’s free and I know I’, whinging but what is it with 700MB 1 CD releases. We’re in the age of high bitrate bluray technology and people are still burning to 1CD… give me a break please. I know some people have download and speed restriction with some ISP’s and this is often a factor when people chooose to download small files such as this one. Why not rent it for $2.00 and rip it in DVD quality.

    I’m curious about which version should I get. This is dvd rip but 700mb, however there is a dvd screener at 1.4 gigs.

    Would the Screener have better quality or would this movie have the better quality?

Repack this Repack that,bad AR,audio out of sync bad video etc. What the F**k is it lately with the scene groups for crying out loud. Scene groups if your reading this do you think you people can get it right the first time instead of permenently giving yourself a bad name forever. I hope someone out there reads this. There’s just too many repacks lately and i know people are getting sick of it. And yes i know it’s free but i don’t care at this point as i’d rather have a good film which was done right the first time that to keep downloading repacks and wasting my bandwidth.

    i’m really surprised that the moviescene hasn’t followed the mp3scene with the VBR concept. Honestly, how many of you actually burn movies on old cd-r’s? Or even on dvd-r? Normally I download a movie, watch it, and delete it, if it’s not a really special movie that i feel i’d like to watch again. My opinion is that the scene should standardize ac3 (if available), x264 (instead of xvid and not only for 720 or 1080) and use a similar way of compressing like VBR for mp3’s without having a set limit for the size of a movie, or at least make them to fit dvd-r’s instead of cd-r’s, like that you can fit 4 or 5 movies on a dvd-r instead of 6 one-cd-r-movies or 3 two-cd-r-movies. are you following me?

    @76 raised some good points, as did someone else in this site, about getting several movies to take up a full DVD5 disc instead of the current 1-CD or 2-CDs going onto a DVD5 disc with about 200-300 MB leftover.
