Two DVDRips were previously posted here and it looked as though this movie was quite popular. VoMiT have just released a Alternate Cut of this film. I’ll let the NFO talk now; Unrated alternate cut of the film assembled by Soderbergh that maintains the general shape of the narrative but uses the many hours of improvised footage Soderbergh shot to slightly alter the content of individual scenes. Previous release was the theatrical cut. Thanks to our friends at CME. Enjoy!

Set in the weeks leading up to the 2008 presidential election, The Girlfriend Experience is five days in the life of Chelsea (adult film star Sasha Grey in her mainstream film debut), an ultra high-end Manhattan call girl who offers more than sex to her clients, but companionship and conversation – “the girlfriend experience.” Chelsea thinks she has her life totally under control—she feels her future is secure because she runs her own business her own way, makes $2000 an hour, and has a devoted boyfriend (Chris Santos) who accepts her lifestyle. But when you’re in the business of meeting people, you never know who you’re going to meet…

    What is the runtime of the Alternate Cut? According to reviews the original is 77 minutes, but the description says 118 min(vs 102 min). Or perhaps a better question is how do I know that I got the Alternate Cut version? When I downloaded it, the filename is "vmt-gfe-xvid.avi"

    vmt-gfe-xvid is supposedly the alternate cut. It clocks in at 1h16m33s.

    The previous version I downloaded from here (early Sep) is arigold-tgx-xvid.avi, and after applying the audio sync fix, the running time is 1h17m33s.

    There is a release from May that says it is 102min.
