This was released yesterday but I thought it would interest many of our readers here at rlslog so I’ll post it now anyways. This is the season premier of season 8, check the gadgets reviewed in this episode below. REMAX keeps releasing awesome british TV shows, enjoy!

New series of the consumer technology show. Jason Bradbury and Suzi Perry test a range of the latest camcorders as they record their own movie stunt sequence, while Jon Bentley reviews Apple’s new MacBook Air notebook. The team also present a look at the top gadgets due for release in the coming year.

    To the Establishment of RLSLOG,

    Guys I love your site – but please fix the browser crashes for opera users. I use to use firefox and it only rarely ever crashed on this site – but than I switch to Opera and I use to laugh at those posters complaining about their Firefox crashing all the time.

    But come on – enough is enough. It’s starting to really happen a lot and pushing the brink of an unstandable annoyance. I mean, you run a simple WordPress – come on, get it fixed.

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    NZB is an XML-based file format for retrieving posts from NNTP (Usenet) servers. The format was conceived by the developers of the Newzbin.com Usenet Index. NZB is effective when used with search-capable websites. These websites create NZB files out of what is needed to be downloaded. Using this concept, headers would not be downloaded hence the NZB method is quicker and more bandwidth-efficient.

    Each Usenet message has a unique identifier called the “Message ID”. When a somewhat large file is posted to a Usenet newsgroup, it is usually divided into multiple messages (called segments or parts) each having its own Message-ID. An nzb-capable Usenet client will read the Message-ID from the NZB file, download them and decode the messages back into a binary file (usually using yEnc or Uuencode).

    Enjoyable show, but it misses the point in many of it’s reviews. It’s like listening to your Dad trying to explain new technology.

    Still a good watch for all it’s flaws.

    The show may have many flaws, but here in the states we used to have two very good shows (Call for help-The Screen Savers) and they got into tech details for the geeks and kept some simple for the noobs. Then the morons at G4 decided to screw with the format and lost viewers, so much so that if you dared complain on the forums they provided, you were tossed out. And they had well over 300 to 500 tossed out every day.

    Now these idiots do nothing but review video games and show old sci fi tv shows. How the mighty have fallen. What we need is a channel made by geeks FOR geeks with a little “noob” stuff tossed in for good measure. With all the computers out there both mac and pc, this type of a channel for the TV should really be a no brainer.
