This is a fkn terrible movie. Just awful on every level.

Diesela appears to be forgetting guatenemo Bay, the constant USA blocking of the Kyoto Agreement on climate change, and lets not even go down the route of military incursions into other peoples countries. Apart from the countries they have invaded themselves in the pursuit of mineral wealth the yanks have funded endless internal conflicts and are possibly morally responsible for more deaths than any of these tinpot dictators they like to spout about.

Having funded terrorism for many years, not least in Britain vis a vis the IRA, all of a sudden its a huge problem cause it happens to them! Strange however every terrorist was a brave freedom fighter until it impacted upon the yanks.

So lets have no more war hero films where everyone is a green beret, lets have a true reflection of an immature nation trying to inflict its social values on a world that largely despises it. Hell, we could even have a place for G Bush, he could play the illiterate half wit who never made it past the national guard stage!

Are is this the movie where we get to hear the same tired old “American Values good , everyone else Bad” while their president gets a BJ under his desk from an intern and millions of american citizens live in Ghettos below the poverty line.

I think I’ll pass on this movie cause yank hero films make me want to vomit!

Don’t skip this movie based on just one person’s opinion. Keep in mind that one person may very well be one of the above pro-war debaters and might not have actually seen the movie. People lie. It’s the norm.

This certainly isn’t the best movie I’ve seen, but I wouldn’t call it bad. It shows the soldiers’ pain and suffering. Some may consider that anti-war, but most modern war movies do the same thing(Saving Private Ryan…etc.). I wouldn’t call this “anti-war propaganda” as it do not attempt to portray soldiers as monsters. This is largely in line with current American views on the war.

They should let Ridley Scott have a go at “Thunder Run” and make a kick-ass good film out of it with (as with BHD) official .gov support and real vehicles and plenty of extras. That’d kick ass.
