A super popular action flick The Forbidden Kingdom starring Jet Li and Jackie Chan is finally available in a decent quality after the first cam – PUKKA released their traditional R5 rip from Russian video source. The quality is awesome as usually and I really recommend this martial arts fantasy movie to everyone. Unless you need subtitles, there’s no need to wait for anything better!

In “Forbidden Kingdom,” American teenager Jason (Michael Angarano), who is obsessed with Hong Kong cinema and kungfu classics, finds an antique Chinese staff in a pawn shop: the legendary stick weapon of the Chinese sage and warrior, the Monkey King (Jet Li). With the lost relic in hand, Jason unexpectedly finds himself transported back to ancient China. There, he meets the drunken kungfu master, Lu Yan (Jackie Chan); an enigmatic and skillful Silent Monk (Jet Li); and a vengeance-bent kungfu beauty, Golden Sparrow (Crystal Liu Yi Fei), who lead him on his quest to return the staff to its rightful owner, the Monkey King – imprisoned in stone by the evil Jade Warlord (Collin Chou) for five hundred years.

    The USP of this movie is Jet & Jackie’s coming togather, both of them performed well IMO. Though the storyline loosely touches the legend of Monkey King, it does’nt include the actual exploits and adventures of The Monkey King. 100% recomended for the fans of this genre though as you can see some authentic “Old Time” moves. Enjoy everyone!

    P.S.: It’s better to wait for a proper DVDRip as there is :nuked: nuke :nuked: alert!

    I checked the ergy subs earlier. They make about as much sense as the rest. None. It’s a very bad translation. Best bet will be to wait for a hard coded release from a known scene group.

    I watched the flick in the Theater some of the language in it was not subtitled to begin with and then the subs kicked in later for what ever reason.

    just finished watching it and while the subtitles would have been useful, they’re not really essential – you don’t miss any of the plot.

    great film – really good. amazing fight scenes – chan -v- jet li was off the charts.

    minus you are incorrect this is an R5 NOT a dvdrip the difference being that an R5 is a early release in Russia to stop fakes flooding the market and counter piracy. An R5 is a telecine rip off the reel and while high quality a dvdrip will have a crisper and clearer picture. On another note will a proper be released because it said on some other site this was nuked for not having english subtitles at the mandarin parts.

    Video- 9.5/10
    Excellent for a 700MB rip. Very little pixelisation in high action scenes.

    Audio- 9/10
    Good sound quality. Remains in sync throughout.

    The subs are not hugely important but the ones provided by ergy work perfectly. Timed to this release and actually make sense. The movie itself is brilliant. Awesome fight scenes and some good comedic moments. Overall, its worth downloading.

    I watched this movie at cinemas here in the Philippines, the mandarin/chinese language in the first few scenes, doesn’t really include subtitles. It’s just a few chinese lines though, so no worries.

    I’ve been a fan of Jackie & Jet ever since my childhood. This movie is awesome. Jackie’s uses Drunken Boxing in this film. It is Awesome. He hasn’t used it since a 1994 film Drunken Master.

    what is the fastest way to download i still use torrents and i think its a little slow at times. I see rapid share and megashare and what not the only problem is i can`t afford anything so spending money kinda is out of the question. And i do go out and watch movies and i rent too.

    @301 khn.flyupload usually gives you full speed for free , you may have 2 click a few times! bitroad files free speed a bit iffy.for only a few dollars a month rapidshare is cool especially one click links!!!
    go to iwillsearch 4u tito is the man.netload links r free but only allow one download at a time.hope this helps, we were all noobs once.

    @301- the fastest way to download for free is a private torrent tracker. All these people paying for Rapidshare blow my mind, really. I used to use a lot of one click download links, but they would end up getting cut off half the time, so its back to torrents. To those who said this movie isn’t that good obviously aren’t fans of martial arts movies. This movie has some really really good fight scenes in it. Jackie Chan’s old as$ has still got it. It was good to see him really throw down again and not just jump around objects and jump off stuff the whole time. My only complaint is his drunken monk is a direct rip-off from Story in Temple Red Lily.
