I was going to post a release about Jeffrey Dahmer, but then I saw this pre and most of you will probably appreciate this more anyways, so here we go. The R5 of this release brought to you by PUKKA got a big response, so this should be interesting to a lot of you. Jackie Chan and Jet Li, two of the biggest Martial Arts actors to emerge from China team up on this film. Sounds like a dream to me to be honest, but I haven’t only heard great things about this film. It has a good IMDB rating though, so it should be worth a watch at the very least. Enjoy it people.

Quality: Quality looks very good. Both sound and image quality are great. BiFOS decided to cut a sample from a scene which is very dark, so don’t only go by that. Quality looks good otherwise too. Korean and English Subtitles are included in the release.

A discovery made by a kung fu obsessed American teen sends him on an adventure to China, where he joins up with a band of martial arts warriors in order to free the imprisoned Monkey King.

    I got the axxo release 3 days ago…it claimed to be a dvd release, it may have been coz the quality was really good…but there were no subs at all and portions of this movie were supposed to have subs since there is english and asian dialogue throughout. So if you get a version with absolutely no subs you’ve been cheated. Thanx asso…I mean axxo for making me wait till today for rlslog to hook me up, I never should have strayed to another site…

    I tried that version, THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM[2008][ENG][AC3 5.1][DVDRip]-FLAWL3SS. Just a heads up to others. That release may not be the best choice

    FLAWL3SS coded it in avi 1.0 not avi 2.0 OpenDML (this cases issues with my PS3 on playback). Also GSpot “User Data” info reveals the video went through several encodings. And last but not least, GSpot also reveals “136 unneeded bytes at end of file”. So it’s actually quite FLAW3D.

    The “scene rules” wore made wen 80g hd was considered to be huge and people had 17″ ctr monitors.I have 1T of space, and thats not much and 32″ LCD.
    So maybe its time to update the scene rules to the new reality!

    Seriously, the quality is not any better than the R5 on video or audio, and my R5 already has well-synced SUBS for the Non-English dialog …

    If you’ve got a DVD or Download of the R5 with good subs like me, just wait for another RIP w/a better crop, better quality, and good subs for it as well …

    I got an R5 from this movie, but with AC3 audio…
    It was not a scene release…
    Some guy took the R5 video and synced it with AC3 audio

    I think the scene tries to nuked all the non-scene releases until one of the scene groups does it “properly” even if the non-scene groups gets it right.

    wow, saw the r5 and i don’t think the movie sucks per say but it was mismarketed. I was under the impression that this is gonna be an action movie with jackie chan physical comedy but in reality it is a CHILDREN’S MOVIE! on par with karate kid/never ending story. I was pissed off when i saw this in theaters. Horribly cliched plot that has been done over and over. good fight scenes though if you like wire-fu.

The bad news is that the subtitles do not just appear when they are needed in the movie, they run in English through the whole movie. There are alot of releases of this movie out now by different groups and I checked them all, and all the English subtitles are the same way. I picked the aXXo release to send you because imho it has better resolution than the others and the picture quality is flawless.

    1: stolen torrent source (??? lol pirates stealing)
    2: banned group (the group has already been b& from intergnat!)
    3: video encode used a custom quantizer matrix (lol scene standards!)

    tldr; scene standard sucks and so do the reasons they make up to nuke stuff, lol
