The Ex LIMITED R5 XViD-PUKKA
A movie that came online last night with 2 very promising actors, not promising but already with some good work in the past, Zach Braff and Amanda Peet. The R5 limited release comes by PUKKA that the last days have brought very good releases. The romantic comedy “The Ex” has a decent rating all over the internet but I think it is early to make conclusion about something we haven’t seen yet, after this post I will sit and watch this one and I will let you know about it. I would like to inform you that when you don’t see many posts of mine, it is because I’m the whole day busy. Enjoy!
Tom Reilly (Zach Braff) is a bit of an underachiever when it comes to his career (or lack thereof), but his adoring wife Sofia (Amanda Peet), a formidable lawyer, has always been happy to act as the breadwinner. With the birth of their first child, Sofia decides she wants to be a stay-at-home mom so Tom needs to step up and take care of his growing family. Unfortunately he gets fired from his job in New York City and is forced to start working with his father-in-law (Charles Grodin) in Sofia’s hometown of Ohio. Tom soon clashes with his work colleagues, especially the outrageous Chip (Jason Bateman), who still carries a torch for Sofia from their high school days, and Sofia becomes increasingly uncomfortable staying home with their new baby. But in a comedy about doing the right thing for all the wrong reasons, the couple needs to get back to what they’re good at before their model family goes completely off track.

Stupid movie – just saw it. Zach has become a stereotype of his own, he doesn’t need to replicate Scrubs in every movie he does – it’s annoying. Additionally, the movie tries to immitate some good comedies of the late 90’s, but fails – due to bad directing, and scripting, but the actors are well chosen (aside of Zach doing his own Scrub role again and again) . . . how it gets 8.1 on imdb.com is not understandable.

Uhh…aside from this movie (which I have not yet seen but don’t doubt that he acts a bit Scrubs-like) in what other movies does he ‘replicate’ Scrubs? I can’t think of any. The only other movies he has starred in were Garden State and The Last Kiss, both in which he was DRASTICALLY different from J.D. on Scrubs. He is a terrific actor, IMO, both comedically and dramatically.
Romantic comedies suck, but Amanda is hot. Maybe it’s worth the bandwidth…
Hey. I thought the movie was pretty good. I think the funniest part was instances dealt with Chip (the guy in the wheelchair). Crude humor? Nah, you’ll just have to watch it. I think it deserves an 8/10

umm have you seen garden state or last kiss? zach braff plays charcaters a far cry from his character jd in scrubs, very dramatic films and not at all slapstick, get your facts straight! havent watched the whole movie yet but its pretty much dvd quality from when i skipped through it. does look a funny film actually. zach braff is a comedy genius and although i really loved garden state i can’t wait to see him in this doing his great comedic acting. quality 8/10 for picture 7/10 sound
