    So in the italicized part, it says its a SCR. In the file name, it says DVDSCR. Which one is it?

    April 22nd, 2009 | 23:57

    i believe that both scr and dvdscr are in reality both a scr. If you were to deduce anything logically from this, you might consider that it does not say vhsscr so how poor can it be – not to mention its free so thank you might be in order before the complaints GOW2

    hey "brainpower", I mean "shthead power" poster 23-GOW2 isn't complaining, but simply asking a simple question. And whenever a screener comes out, it will say "SCR or dvdscr" and you might need to be in order before you start acting like a smart a$$. Act your age not your I.Q.!

    @19 @21

    The necronomicon is a fictional book (not real) first written about by H P Lovecraft in the 1920's in some of his short stories.

    For some reason there are many that beleive The Necronomicon is a real book, but is a complete invention by H P Lovecraft.

    Historical "Books of the Dead", such as the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead or the Tibetan Bardo Thodol, are sometimes described as "real Necronomicons." They should not be confused with the Lovecraft Necronomicon, since their contents are meant to be read to and remembered by the dead, rather than to be used by the living to summon the dead. Lovecraft may have been inspired by these books.

    Also, real tantrik scrolls… like "Raktashodhitantra" and "Kaalbhairabitantra" (don't read, evil sick stuff)!

    @26, learn some history before opening your mouth. The Necronomicon was written in Damascus in 730 A.D. by Abdul Alhazred. A Latin translation was made in 1487 by a Dominican priest Olaus Wormius in 1586, a copy of Wormius's Latin translation surfaced in Prague in the library of Dr. John Dee who translated the Necronomicon into English while warden of Christ's College.Alastar Crowley read Dee's translation of the Necronomicon in the Bodleian,and lifted it word for word in his "Book of the Law".In 1918 Crowley was in New York where he met Sonia Greene. In 1921 Sonia Greene met the novelist H.P. Lovecraft, and in that same year Lovecraft published the first novel where he mentions Abdul Alhazred ("The Nameless City"). In 1922 he first mention the Necronomicon ("The Hound"). On March 3rd. 1924, H.P. Lovecraft and Sonia Greene married. So now you have just how Lovecraft got to this book.

    There was a book entitled The Necronomican published a few years ago that was supposed to contain the text of this fictional book. But it was actually written by the author Colin Wilson as a sort of spoof of Lovecraft's stories (I say 'sort-of spoof' because it actually wasn't funny; it tried to make out that the text was 'real').

    The original NECRONOMICON according to the myths is supposed to be made by human skin and written in human blood by Lucifer himself sooo i don't think anyone here has actually read it ,i certainly don't think that man would type comments in rlslog bout a film. LOL anyways quality ?? :P P

    @33 Dude your the one that needs to do some research

    Everything that you just listed is the "fictional history" of The Necromonimcon written by H, P Lovecraft.

    Fictional history
    ————–
    Dude YOU need to learn history, if you go to the Vatican Library that book is clearly listed in the restricted area and you can actually SEE the book from the locked entrance to same. And yes it does indeed look like leather bindings but unless it is tested it cannot be said for sure that this is from human skin. As such I stand by what research I was able to gather from the Vatican Library as well as from different libraries all round the world from Egypt to Japan to Australia to England to Berlin. Now either all of them are lying or you could not find a fact if it was sitting on your arse in a dark room and you had both hands-a flashlight and a road map!

    The Necronomicon IS a work of FICTION!!!!!

    ""In a letter to Willis Conover, Lovecraft elaborated upon his typical answer:

    Now about the “terrible and forbidden books” — I am forced to say that most of them are purely imaginary. There never was any Abdul Alhazred or Necronomicon, for I invented these names myself. Robert Bloch devised the idea of Ludvig Prinn and his De Vermis Mysteriis, while the Book of Eibon is an invention of Clark Ashton Smith's. Robert E. Howard is responsible for Friedrich von Junzt and his Unaussprechlichen Kulten…. As for seriously-written books on dark, occult, and supernatural themes — in all truth they don’t amount to much. That is why it’s more fun to invent mythical works like the Necronomicon and Book of Eibon.""

    I DID write the Necronomiconé
    (originally I spelled it this way)

    It frustrates me to have written such a piece of my soul and have mortal pups arguing over if it's real, where it's housed, etc.
    And the idea that it is at the Vatican! Please! I would never sink to allowing those hacks to get their hands on my book.

    It's a work of passion and as such, I think it deserves your respect.

    Sincerely,
    Satan

    Not saying it's not @38, just proving to the idiot that this book was NOT invented by Lovecraft and came way before him, by about 600 years or so.

    @41

    Did you even read #38's post, he completely agrees with me.

    In his post he quotes Lovecraft as saying "There never was any Abdul Alhazred or Necronomicon, for I invented these names myself".

    @41 you have no idea what your talking about and are making yourself seem foolish, by your subsequent posts.

    Let me guess im sure you believe Dan Browns "The Da Vinci Code" is a historically accurate work of non-fiction aswell.

    I think your confusing some cultures real "Books of the Dead" which were remeberances of and in honor of the dead loved ones, with the fictitious "Necronomicon".
