The Diving Bell and the Butterfly LIMITED DVDRip XviD-DMT

This French movie is nominated for no less than 4 Oscars, so there’s little more I can say to spice up your interest in it. Group DMT mentions English subtitles in the NFO, but as far as I know releases with hard-coded subs are supposed to be tagged SUBBED. So I guess there will be subtitles floating around in the near future.

EDIT: DMT wrote 147 minutes runtime in the NFO but they actually meant 1 hr 47 mins.

Synopsis:
“The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” [AKA: Scaphandre et le papillon, Le] tells the story Elle France editor Jean-Dominique Bauby, who, in 1995 at the age of 43, suffered a stroke that paralyzed his entire body, except his left eye. Using that eye to blink out his memoir, Bauby eloquently described the aspects of his interior world, from the psychological torment of being trapped inside his body to his imagined stories from lands he’d only visited in his mind.

    I really hope this is better than the book. THe book was such a big hit because it written by a guy with his eyelid. Whilst this is an amazing feat of human persistence, it does not necessarily make for a well written novel. A case of sensationalism over substance…

    there’s been a p2p dvdrip of diving bell floating around like 2-3 weeks now. that was a real french rip since the credits and captions are french. since this is my most anticipated movie of the previous year, i downloaded it and it was a great copy, the subs were translated from dutch to english by some guy, great work but not perfect.

    anyway, can anyone confirm if this is just that p2p french version or is this a real english dvdrip? are the subs ripped from the dvd and is is perfect? i’m definitely downloading this again coz im such a fanboy of this film. :)

    It’s not about winning my favor. It’s about doing something right. Why make a half-assed attempt at a release. Do a good quality rip, pack the subs and you have a complete release. Simple as that.

  73. 8==D
    February 25th, 2008 | 07:52

    @71

    Many times, the release groups will actually include the subtitles with the movie - the loder bot from moviex, who uploads to piratebay and newtorrents uses the same torrent, does not include them.

    moviex has all sorts of problems and dirty tricks to attempt to get people to join and “donate” to them.

It’s much better to have 2-CDs size movie with decent quality. I fact, I always wondered why people even bother spending CPU ticks to overcompress and destroy picture quality of a movie to fit on single CD.
