I don’t really know someone who would voluntarily like to watch a movie like this, but few hundred peers at torrent trackers prove this theory wrong: The Deaths Of Ian Stone is a brutal horror, which makes Saw look like a fairy tale. The story is quite simple: a guy wakes up each morning in the same day (do you remember TV show Day Break?) just to be tortured in endless agony. The reviews are fairly positive, but still, I can’t get over the violence displayed in this title. Released on 1 CD in standard quality.
On an otherwise ordinary night, the young Ian Stone encounters a mysterious creature and is forced into the path of an oncoming train. Rather than facing certain death, Ian finds himself reborn into a new life that feels strangely familiar. After his second death, it becomes apparent that Ian is being hunted by an evil presence, and will be forced to die every day until he can solve the mystery of his own life.

DA: How violent and gory is the film? Was it fun coming up with creative ways to kill you main star or were those already in the script?
DP: The film is not so much gory, we have something disturbing in it, but basically is not like Saw or Hostel. Originally there were a couple of very disturbing and gory sequences in the third act. We had a first screening with a general audience, not only horror movie fans, and the film came out as too gory… People liked the story and the mood of the film, even the audiences that usually don’t like horror movies. That’s why the distributors decided to cut those scenes. I’m not sure if we’ve done the right things, because the horror fans will be a little bit disappointed. Anyway they probably will see them in the DVD deleted scenes section.
Martin got me all excited but #11 got me all disappointed… guess its back to chechen home videos for me. Thanks for the effort Martin! Heres hopin for a faces of death flood!

NO NO NO! This film was not gory at all. Fans of explicit gore (sickos like myself) should look elsewere for gore. Try Cannibal Holocaust, Braindead, Men Behind the Sun… I could go on and on but you get the point.
OK horror, a little sci-fi like. Not a gorefest at all. Go to T3 for real hardcore gore.
I don’t think this falls into the torture pr0n teritory by virtue of the fact it appears to have a plot.

A great premise here but a bungled execution. Typical DTV fodder.If any of you think this is really bloody you need help or are really feminine if you know what I mean. The Saw films are sadistic yes, but all the gore is implied not explicit.

Haha much gore? No gore at all i would say. Pretty god movie. And the only scary moments are just some jumpy situations.

This is not bad
This was a good movie but Not gory by any means! Saw wasn’t even that gory but there were some intense scenes. Hostel and Hostel 2 were childish comedies. For good (squeamish) horror look to: “The Last House On the Left”, “I Spit On Your Grave”, or “Cannibal Ferox”. Hmmm, Takashi Miike does some pretty fun and gory goodies too. How about the ones reviewing horror movies actually watch some sick stuff and like it!
just watched this. actually pretty good. the plot could easily be a shoe-in for a sci-fi channel piece of garbage, but this has believable acting and special fx which really surprised me as i was watching it. wasn’t expecting that. jaime murray plays the protagonist and she’s in that movie botched that was posted here a while back and that was good too. not nearly as gory as people say so if you’re squeamish, this is watchable. it focused more on plot development over that. can’t compare it to daybreak either (great show). the plot twists and repetition aren’t quite that intricate.
video and audio quality were perfect. i’d recommend this. not the greatest movie on the planet but by far not a stinker. has possible sequel potential too which could work if they wrote the right story.

Ok now that I am less emotional over the fact that the description of this movie is 100% off…..I honestly advice you, do not waste your time watching this movie, the story is as simple as 1+1=2 and they never explain the fact of why do they exist? or why it happend to him…..its just like a teen cheap horror/action movie with a big budget that lacks good story…..but hell they have advertise this movie as if it was the last soda of the desert.
Anyway if you are looking for an interesting story do not watch it…..if you are looking for good effects and gore that wouldn’t even surprise a 5 year old girl….well then be my guest.

I found the premise of this movie interesting; it started off well; the actors were giving a reasonably good performance. Then somewhere in the middle, the suspense just fizzled out and the rest of it looked like a crude Matrix rip-off. Alas, such a brilliant idea wasted.
The horrorfest this year has been pretty terrible (or at least so it seems from the reviews). The Deaths of Ian Stone is no different.
