WOPTiC have just released the first copy of  the remake of the 1951 classic The Day The Earth Stood Still. Im personally waiting as im going to the cinema to watch this next week as i loved the original, i just hope they dont stuff it up like they do with a lot of the remakes these days. Video and audio quality are both pretty decent but not the best as of course its only a TS but check out the sample for yourself if its watchable to you, enjoy!

Notes from NFO: Subtitles are english for foreign spoken parts.

A representative of an alien race that went through drastic evolution to survive its own climate change, Klaatu (Keanu Reeves) comes to Earth to assess whether humanity can prevent the environmental damage they have inflicted on their own planet. Klaatu himself already has a negative opinion of humans, and when detained by Regina Jackson, the United States Secretary of Defense, and barred from speaking to the United Nations, he decides they shall be exterminated so the planet – with its rare ability to sustain complex life – can survive. Can Dr. Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly) and her stepson Jacob (Jaden Smith) convince Klaatu humans are worth saving.

    I watched The Day The Earth Stood Still in the theatre on Thursday and the sole good part of it is Jennifer Connely, though she could’ve shown some more skin ;) .

    If you’re planning on watching the movie, be sure to time how long it takes you until you wish the big sphere would have landed on that little sh*t for brains kid. It didn’t take long on my part…

    @55-its the russian video with line audio. if you watch it before burning the subs on you will see the original subs are russian.the italian is markedly better-this is watchable but maybe kingben or stg will do the honours with the italian.

    just back from theater.
    one of the worst movies i’ve seen.
    no action, no ending and lots of ppl agreed with that. this is what 90% of crowd was complaining. Imho Rotten Tomatoes are right freaking 28% out of 100%.

    Just back from the theater…paid my dues. Can I have the screener so I can rewatch the pain a second time? The movie is terribly slow with very little substance. Watch. Don’t Watch. This movie isn’t worth 10$ in any cinema, including I-max.

    Who knows, maybe the slowed it down so much to accommodate the seizures? Ha. Ha.

    Buy another ticket or government Bond. 007 was excellent at the theater. Looking forward to some of the upcoming digital 3D releases too!
