I just watched this in the theater. A dude was chewing popcorn in my ear. Some girl’s laugh was at all the wrong times, and there was a smell of sweat somewhere around my general vicinity. Rapidshare has ruined my movie going experience.

well, if I didn’t have to wait until august 21th for it to be released over here, because of the dubbing I really don’t care about, I’d definitaly go watch it in theaters first.

There is no real need for a stuffies encode i guess. Just turn up the color saturation on ya player and there all fixed!, maybe turn up alil of the sharpening.

I want to go see this in the cinema, but as Bergdoktor put it I’ve to wait, thankfully not as long though I’m off to see it tomorrow, i watched a bad copy a few days ago, i know i know it kinda ruined it for me, but i’m well looking forward to seeing it in the cinema, this version does it have the ending the other one i watched devine copy didn’t was missing god knows how many minutes..

I have the PreVail release. What kind of difference will I see in this release. I mean, I know the PreVail had like dupe frames or something but I am not sure how that affects the video quality.
The picture quality is still abysmal, it’s absolute garbage.
Why anyone would bother watching a movie as good as this in CAM quality is a mystery to me.
Go and see this at the movies, then wait for the R5.
the movie really isn’t that good, boring even, but the hype machine has never worked better than with this film – in a year or two people will see this for what it is: a slightly above-average super-hero flick

I loved watching this in the theaters but unless you go to an early matinee movie someone is always trying to ruin. Who the f&%k brings there 3 yr. old child to watch batman and cry in theaters at 9om at night! Some people have no idea!

This movie is awful – but if you dont understand the way the world works then you wont understand way I say that. But even taken at face value its still not that good. Heath Ledger was good but thats just because the rest of the acting isnt that good. Tim Burtons Batmans looked way better and Jack Nicholson plays a better Joker and so does Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face. The movie uses Batman as its propaganda vehicle and its sad. Terrorist Bombings and wire tapping – are you serious – What a piece of garbage

You´re right, all the stupid people have to go when you go to theater, they arrive late, it takes forever to locate their seats, they bring his annoying 3yr-10 yr children, eat the popcorn with a microphone in their mouth, i honestly think that sometimes is more peaceful to locate a good TS and enjoy the movie in our quite home.

Personally I Think this movie is pretty good, not the best movie ever but its really good. People look down on things that “sell out” even if they are fantastic. Ledger did an amazing job and everybody else was pretty good as well. In my view people are being so critical because of its success not because the movie was unfavorable.
To me, this will go down as the most over-rated movie EVER. Better than Godfather? Better than Shawshank? I don’t think so.
I have yet to see this movie, and I’m sure it’s very good. BUT #1 on IMDB is very fishy. In fact, IMDB are not nearly as accurate today as they were five years ago. Back then I could easily guess the IMDB score within a 0.5 margin.
I’m guessing Hollywood has loads of lobbyists working the IMDB scores, as there’s no way in hell this movie should be ranked higher than Blade runner, Godfather, Forrest Gump, Alien, The seventh seal or even Terminator 2.
IMDB means very little these days.

meh that jambo release is so-so yeah he did work to the colors and sharpened it a lil but overall quality has suffered for it should have kept the original file size looks grainy and almost a lil slomo-ish, will wait for a better re-encode

Good quality TS, extremely overcropped however. Some better non-scenes floating about, but roll on the R5/3 or DVDScr. Personally I’m half tempted to go Cinema to watch this one, and I haven’t bothered doing that since LOTR.
Afterthought: There’s a bluey in it if anyone fancy going into the Studio and nabbing the Originals… a HD 1800p copy at this stage would be an historial event. If you’re lucky I’ll even pay bail

Angle of samples suggests that it’s the PreVail release with adjusted contrast & color saturation. PreVail release is very watchable, but a few shadows (people) pass in front of the camera during the second half. PreVail audio was great too.

this is what nrg did with dark knight-ReadNFO Notes: Since there will be 20 diffrent versions of this, went ahead and did one more, lol.
The video is from the spanish cam (which PreVail used) except for the final 5 seconds which is from the
2bros release. The audio is from the Prevail rls except for the final 5 seconds, which is from the MVS rls.
So to start put this in Sony Vegas then split it into about 50 sections (all the diffrent main scenes) and
was tweaked for the lighting in each scene. Basic filters were used: Color corrector, Contrast/Brightness, Levels and a
Secondary Color Corrector. Hopefully this makes it so all scenes look as good as they can look. It was then saved with no audio
as an uncompressed .avi After that the audio was synced in VirtualDubMod. @ pass XVid after that.
Audio sounds great so very little was done with that (except making a few cuts, SoundForge, to sync it up properly)
Overall the movie is dark and the goal was to keep the dark feel of the film but add the color that was lacking.

And I’m back to the first one i got. Prevails. Yes there is a little sound distortion in the v. loud scenes, and the colour is A LITTLE washed out…..
But prevails is the clearest crispest one to watch. Smooth and not pixilated like the ones after.
Hope this helps some of you. My girlfriends disowned her nerd boyfriend!!

The NRG sample is awful! I’ll stick with the STG for now. The ITL is good too but it’s screen/frame is a bit smaller. Good job all around, but STG gets the prize as far as I’m concerned.

No people have just seen this one The.Dark.Knight.TS.XviD.Dual.Audio-ITL2. From Beginning to the end and it is the one you should go for. It’s the best out until dvdscr, dvdrip or an R5/R3 is out

Okay, I downloaded the Prevail, mVs, and Dual ITL2.0 versions.
Here are frame grabs from each:

Cropped LESS on the top and bottom slightly, but frame width is 48 pixels less than Prevail’s, some audio is missing, but could be fixed using Prevail’s as the source… (All 3 are 272 pixels high.)
The Prevail version still looks better, as the dupe frames are barely noticeable and it’s the most wide-screen version.

The ITL 2.0 is from a spanish source and has english and spanish audio tracks.
Okay, lets compare Prevail, ITL, mVs, STG and NRG:
NRG has an amazing frame size of 720×270 producing the widest A/R of all the TS’s, and the image has been lightened/corrected in places. Unfortunately, every 4th frame is a dupe, and it’s letter-boxed to 720×360.
STG is wide at 664×272, but every 6th frame is a dupe.
Prevail is ‘only’ 640×272, and every 3rd frame is a dupe.
mVs is wider at 656×272 and has no dupe frames.
All of the above releases have a comparable (moderate) amount of vertical cropping.
The Dual ITL2.0 release is only 608×272, but does show more of the image at the top and bottom than the releases above. Unfortunately, it has one EARLIER frame every 4th iteration.
So for motion mVs is best, for color/brightness and A/R NRG wins, STG is quite good with a wide A/R and ‘only’ one dupe in 6, Prevail is quite watchable with a moderate A/R and with somewhat less noticeable dupes than the ITL release, which is encoded badly with reverse motion every 4th frame, but is the only release with more of the top and bottom of the frame included.
So (unless there’s a proper by one of these groups soon), I’m burning the mVs release with my XviD decoder set to lighten about 20%.

Yes you can do it in windows media player. Just download the morgan stream switcher (which I think is different with the one used in media player classic). You can then select which audio to play.
To remove the other audio there are many options but vdub and super is the easiest imo. Just stream the video, select which audio to reencode and w8 for the finished product
watched both prevail and mvs versions on my tv.MVS version is better!just adjust contrast,colour, brightness etc to your personal taste snuggle up to your wife and enjoy a fabulous night in!!!watching on a small computer screen will not do this justice.dvd players are very cheap these days and play any old formats.ENJOY

i’ve checked sample from LTT version wit the ITL version, and seems to me they are the same (quality wise) so people that think the ITT version sounds fabulous, i think the ITL version will do too

Just use the mVs version, and set your XviD or DivX decoder to lighten it a bit.
(I think I went a little overboard on the filtering anyway; there’s some chroma noise in the darkest scenes…)
Just saw the film, I’ll give it a 7 based on the first hour..
however the quality of this copy is pretty bad the last 10 minutes or so…
hmm what to say……..watchd it for the 2nd tym in a theatre and am still speechless…..gonna watch it again come saturday,guyz go and watch this one in imax and experience the difference….

They probably have some sort of way of telling besides the filenames. I mean, it wouldn’t be hard to just mine their database for split files with the same file sizes, etc. After LTT finishes I’ll try and upload it but I’ll split it in weird sizes and name it like.. LOLFAMILYVACATIONS.rar.

Let’s see…how do they keep tracking these links down and have them shut down? Is it some bitter snitch reporting them? Do people really need this explained! I guess the “movie protectors” don’t have enough intelligence to join sites, use search engines and go to the same sites we all use.
I am on Releaselog. I don’t want my movie on Releaselog. If I check back every few minutes I can keep getting these links shutdown as people upload them and post them…whether it be this site or any other. Damn! It’s not hard to find the sites that post these. Sure there are a ton of sites, but it’s not hard to find the popular ones is it? Hell, a lot of the better sites make sure that when they zip/rar their files that they put their site addy as the password or a shortcut in with the files.
Have we not all found millions of sites just through that simple method?
This movie is making enough money to pay some kid a few bucks and hour to help them find this stuff! Giggity giggity goo!

You can use convertxtodvd to make a dvd in which you can

There is no doubt about it, ITL is the best version out. I have downloaded prevails, mvs, stg, nrg, and jambos. ITL beats em all.

i didnt make the screenshots feline so thats why no LTT shot, but ive downloaded the LTT sample and its rubbish over other copies. I got STG copy and its ok, bit blurry the bigger the tv is.
Jambo’s first copy is a touched up prevail copy, seems a lil dark but much sharper, dont know about the Version 2 Jambo done as i havent checked the sample but the version uses same video as ITL so i assume the ITL is best.

I really need your Help!! So I dl and extracted, then it asked me for a password. I put in areg as mentioned numerous times here. It goes about extracting and I’m getting all excited that it’s working. At the very end, it says CRC failed in the encrypted file The Dark Night.avi wrong password?
What do I do now??

Well i downloaded the devise version and all i can say is you cant judge a TS with sample pictures..
The video is really blurry.. and no good 2 watch 4 me…
also hearing ppl (in DUAL audio-lol) eating popcorn and drinking cola in the beginning was the worse….
