Here we go! I know many people have been waiting for the release of The Dark Knight on BluRay, one of the best movies to be released this year. You can now enjoy The Dark Knight in BluRay goodness! (I thought i’d bring this post back to the top because many people were waiting for the BluRay release and it got pushed off the first page pretty quickly with the tv shows and some people may not have seen it.)

Note: The.Dark.Knight.2008.PROPER.720p.BluRay.x264-SiNNERS has just been released. read NFO for more info.

With just one year having passed after taking out Ra’s Al Ghul’s plan to have Gotham eliminated and the mysterious disappearance of Dr. Jonathan Crane AKA the Scarecrow, and after the city was nearly plundered with his toxins, Bruce Wayne and his vigilante alter-ego the Batman, continue the seemingly endless effort to bring order to Gotham, with the help of Lt. James Gordon and newly appointed District Attorney Harvey Dent. But a new threat has now emerged into the streets. The Dark Knight faces a rising psychopathic criminal called The Joker, whose eerie grin, laughter, and inhuman morality makes him as dangerous than what he has yet to unleash. It becomes an agenda to Batman to stop the mysterious Joker at all costs, knowing that both of them are in an opposite line. One has no method at all and seeks to see the world plunge into the fire he has yet to light. One represents the symbol of hope and uses his own shadow to bring the peace and order he has yet to accomplish doing.

    It can be burned on a Dual Layer DVD, but you will have to re-encode it with something like Convert X to DVD, which will then lose you quality.

    PLEASE megashares. rapidshare wont even let you download this movie since they severley capped the traffic limits. it would take 3 days. also anyone know if a 1080p version exists i would much rather have that dont care if its 30gigs. hell id buy it if i had a real bluray player or ps3 but screw that. pc forever!

    Looks like Garbage? I have a 60″ Sony LCD and 720p x264 rips LOOK great on it. No not as good as retail Blu-Ray, but then it’s not available yet on Blu-Ray, and when it is … I’ll buy it. Until then, this is the best there is, and its sized just right to fit as data on a DL-DVDR … very nice :D

    To those responsible for this release – Thanks a bunch. 720p releases rock. Perfect blend of quality and size.

    On another note….

    I seriously cannot understand some of you. You are getting this movie for FREE + BEFORE IT’S RELEASE DATE. Stop complaining. Be thankful you don’t have to beg your mom for your allowance to buy this. If you don’t like something about the release, be patient. A 1080p release will come. Hell, it’s release date is Dec 9th.

    @33. no complaints about the movie size or resolution, just the medium people are still using to share. rapidshare is over, doom, dead…. They shot themselves in the foot with the 50gb limit/month. It used to be a 300gb limit/month, now we can’t make use of these great releases. fortunately it will be uploaded somewhere that cares and doesn’t suck, but i’ll just keep pressing refresh until that link shows up.

    The only reason I see it is that a 2 hour 31 min DTS audio file would be 1.5-2GB, which would then sacrifice video bitrate. Not seen a lot of 720p above 10GB. But I hope the 1080 has DTS and about 15-16GB at least.

    BluRay is the best…. ultimate picture and sound quality. Maybe if your cheap A.sssss didn’t buy all the cheap sound and tv’s, you’d notice the difference.

    Another questionable resolution… 1280×528… whereas true 2.35 should be 1280×544. I suspect the image will therefore be overstretched by 3%, just like SEPTiC did with Iron Man. Most people can’t see the difference, but it’s there. So that’ll be a re-encode back to 1280×544.

    this rip is awsome, its a 6.8mbit x264 encode, the 1080p version by hd1080 suffers from pixellation in high action scenes due to low bitrate.

    this 720p rip is also dxva compliant.

    do note that this film has been cropped down compared to the IMAX edition which has a greater vertical resolution.

    It’s overcropped…And I don’t mean from 1280×544 to 1280×528, IMAX sequences are not IMAX ! The Blu-Ray has shifting aspect ratio so this should be nuked tbh…

    Is there any way to burn this file to a dual layer dvd and have a dvd player play it? I have a philips dvd player that plays almost every format. I also see a lot of people talking about converting this using programs like X to DVD. What is the best program for converting files of this type to dvd

    3-4 GB for an 2,5 hours action movie? I hope you’re joking since you would need to resize it to DVD resolution to get an acceptable quality.

    [PROPER Reason]: iNFAMOUS cropped the whole movie to 2.4:1. However there are several IMAX sequences with an AR of 1.78:1, which means iNFAMOUS cut off around 200 pixels from those sequences. Check the screenshot in sample folder. This of course means there are scenes with and without black borders. This is the way it’s supposed to be, not an error. And if you are wondering why you didn’t notice any AR changes on the DVD, it’s only on the Bluray.
