The Dark Knight 720p BluRay x264-iNFAMOUS
Here we go! I know many people have been waiting for the release of The Dark Knight on BluRay, one of the best movies to be released this year. You can now enjoy The Dark Knight in BluRay goodness! (I thought i’d bring this post back to the top because many people were waiting for the BluRay release and it got pushed off the first page pretty quickly with the tv shows and some people may not have seen it.)

With just one year having passed after taking out Ra’s Al Ghul’s plan to have Gotham eliminated and the mysterious disappearance of Dr. Jonathan Crane AKA the Scarecrow, and after the city was nearly plundered with his toxins, Bruce Wayne and his vigilante alter-ego the Batman, continue the seemingly endless effort to bring order to Gotham, with the help of Lt. James Gordon and newly appointed District Attorney Harvey Dent. But a new threat has now emerged into the streets. The Dark Knight faces a rising psychopathic criminal called The Joker, whose eerie grin, laughter, and inhuman morality makes him as dangerous than what he has yet to unleash. It becomes an agenda to Batman to stop the mysterious Joker at all costs, knowing that both of them are in an opposite line. One has no method at all and seeks to see the world plunge into the fire he has yet to light. One represents the symbol of hope and uses his own shadow to bring the peace and order he has yet to accomplish doing.

It can be burned on a Dual Layer DVD, but you will have to re-encode it with something like Convert X to DVD, which will then lose you quality.

PLEASE megashares. rapidshare wont even let you download this movie since they severley capped the traffic limits. it would take 3 days. also anyone know if a 1080p version exists i would much rather have that dont care if its 30gigs. hell id buy it if i had a real bluray player or ps3 but screw that. pc forever!

no 1080p? no thanks, this looks like garbage on my 56″ Plasma. A retail BluRay rip would be nice also.
Looks like Garbage? I have a 60″ Sony LCD and 720p x264 rips LOOK great on it. No not as good as retail Blu-Ray, but then it’s not available yet on Blu-Ray, and when it is … I’ll buy it. Until then, this is the best there is, and its sized just right to fit as data on a DL-DVDR … very nice

On another note….
I seriously cannot understand some of you. You are getting this movie for FREE + BEFORE IT’S RELEASE DATE. Stop complaining. Be thankful you don’t have to beg your mom for your allowance to buy this. If you don’t like something about the release, be patient. A 1080p release will come. Hell, it’s release date is Dec 9th.

@33. no complaints about the movie size or resolution, just the medium people are still using to share. rapidshare is over, doom, dead…. They shot themselves in the foot with the 50gb limit/month. It used to be a 300gb limit/month, now we can’t make use of these great releases. fortunately it will be uploaded somewhere that cares and doesn’t suck, but i’ll just keep pressing refresh until that link shows up.

The only reason I see it is that a 2 hour 31 min DTS audio file would be 1.5-2GB, which would then sacrifice video bitrate. Not seen a lot of 720p above 10GB. But I hope the 1080 has DTS and about 15-16GB at least.

BluRay is the best…. ultimate picture and sound quality. Maybe if your cheap A.sssss didn’t buy all the cheap sound and tv’s, you’d notice the difference.

Another questionable resolution… 1280×528… whereas true 2.35 should be 1280×544. I suspect the image will therefore be overstretched by 3%, just like SEPTiC did with Iron Man. Most people can’t see the difference, but it’s there. So that’ll be a re-encode back to 1280×544.

this 720p rip is also dxva compliant.
do note that this film has been cropped down compared to the IMAX edition which has a greater vertical resolution.

Is there any way to burn this file to a dual layer dvd and have a dvd player play it? I have a philips dvd player that plays almost every format. I also see a lot of people talking about converting this using programs like X to DVD. What is the best program for converting files of this type to dvd

[PROPER Reason]: iNFAMOUS cropped the whole movie to 2.4:1. However there are several IMAX sequences with an AR of 1.78:1, which means iNFAMOUS cut off around 200 pixels from those sequences. Check the screenshot in sample folder. This of course means there are scenes with and without black borders. This is the way it’s supposed to be, not an error. And if you are wondering why you didn’t notice any AR changes on the DVD, it’s only on the Bluray.

Yeah they work. I personally have not downloaded them but the Megamanager says all of them are valid links. Each are about a gig each.

hellno you are a fool. hes sittin watchin hes 27 rca thats so old it doesnt even have a sleep timer, i dont have blu ray yet (i have the tv though) i watched my first bluray all the way through about a week ago at a buddys house, it took some getting used to because it looks like real life and not a movie, but the picture is insane.
movie was good, there was a lot of hype around it, the imbd rating is way off and i was a little dissapointed when i finally saw it, but it is still good. definatley not top 10 and i believe that the joker would have been the same character with almost any decent actor. just throwin my 2 up and yes i am dl the 1080 version

I don’t understand people that are so ans1-retentive about it being so exactly like the original disc that they’d rather watch 90% of the movie with black bars on the top and bottom just so they can see a couple scenes in 1.78:1. The AR isn’t off at all, just the black bars aren’t there for +90% of the movie and to do that 100 pixels top and bottom are gone from a few scenes. I think they ruined the BluRay by doing that and iNFAMOUS did us all a favor and made it much much much better for viewing in a media player, even if it was unintentional on his part as the crop is always going to take out the black bars to whatever scene you have it open to when you set it and it will apply that to the whole movie no matter what you do.
Any movie that changes the res for just a few scenes has ruined it. That’s why it wasn’t that way on the DVD, because somebody scroowed it up on the BluRay. You wouldn’t notice what they did on a TV screen but you sure as anything would notice those black bars through the whole movie in a media player on a computer. Not to mention for everyone who wants to encode this into another format and file size it would greatly affect the quality/bitrate at whatever the target file size to encode those black bars too.

Just get the torrent and have patience.
I compared the samples against ESiR’s release.
iNFAMOUS is overcroped thus SiNNERS nuked it… but it’s also off-colored, brighter.
ESiR’s and CiNEFiLE’s iNTERNAL seem to be fine, equal in quality and with DTS
SiNNERS’s is ok… a proper, no DTS but OK!
