The Daily Show 10 13 2008 DSR XviD-SYS

There are 3 talk shows I would watch every week and this is one of them. “The Daily Show” is a comedic view of recent news headlines and political figures through a series of satirical monologues by Jon Stewart along with segments by “correspondents” and finally interviews with guest celebrities and political figures. This episode’s featured guest is Amity Shlaes, a journalist and economic reporter. She discusses her new book The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression.

Samantha Bee and her husband Jason Jones, the other Daily Show Reporter, have recently signed a deal with CBS to make a show. Can’t wait for that. Hopefully it won’t suck like 99% of their programming.

Why do people bother downloading TDS and the Report? They are available to stream for free, at thedailyshow.com or hulu

first of all, the streaming option on the daily show and colbert report is the best i have seen so far by now. comedy central always was good with clips and updating them but now they are really perfect, the show is usually in 6 to 10 hours after airing online, you can watch the single segments or the whole show streamed in very high quality depending on your speed, you can fast forward and back in both option, just not during ads, but those are usually 10 second ads, really nothing, its only stupid when its somekind of movie trailer that is heavily boosted and played over and over again…

and it works outside the US, which is awesome and unlike most other official tv sites.

but still downloading makes sense if you want to watch it on tv, if you got a not so fast internet connection or a slow pc that cant really play the flash video in high quality well.

still, comedy central has with those some of the best official sites, other tv channels should learn from it.

UK and some other countries are not allowed to stream Daily Show and Colbert Report. Also some of us need to burn it to cd/dvd and watch it on TV/xbox360 or wherever.

I used to love this show but anymore I can’t even watch it. It’s like Stewart wants cheering now when he used to want laughs, if that makes sense.

I buy cheap cds and burn all my shows to watch on my standalone player, it seems dumb but I’m used to it. Problem is whenever I watch regular TV I try to FF and RW it and I don’t have that option.

I really can’t wait for the elections to happen. since they won’t dare criticizing Obama and there will be no joke material anymore against republicans, maybe the show will go back to “humor mode” instead of the full democrat campaign support they’ve been doing for the last years…

Even Colbert doesn’t try to hide it anymore, his fake Bush-fan character just vanished, it seems he’s gonna have a hard time finding new material :/

    *sigh*

no, you CAN watch the whole episode in http://www.thedailyshow.com/ and NO you dont have to be from USA to watch it, jesus christ people do some research. Just like baddab said before. I wouldnt recommend screepcapturing so low quality video especialy if you are going to burn it.

BUT, you can use the third option, streaming high quality torrent from eztv.
