With respect to your grandfather… I would say he is Austrian, and I’d have no problem with his claim that he was Austrian. If he claimed he was German, I’d have no problem with that either, since both his parents are 100% German. If he claimed to be American, that would be okay, because he lived there from the Age of a child. If he tried to claim he was Indian, because his great great great grandmother was 1/5 Indian… I wouldn’t let that fly. As I said, combing back to find a small percentage of another country and claiming heritage under that small percentage is embarassing. Say you have Indian heritage, or Indian roots… but you are NOT Indian. That was the only point I was making.

Oh, and yes I’ve heard of African-Americans. and, they look part African, don’t they. If they were more white than me, and had 0 characteristics of African Americans yet claimed to be African-American, they would be a joke wouldn’t they. Sorry for the 0.000000000001% with a fair claim in that regard, but its still a joke. Not quite sure why you’re so upset… maybe you say you’re an Austrian-German-American because you grandfather’s situation. Based solely on your stated grandfather’s situation, you’re barely German, barely Austrian and mostly American (if born in America). Stop trying to grab the heritage of other countries you don’t rightly deserve. Amen.

The subs work properly. You must have both the .idx and .sub file in the same folder and with the same name. If u r having problem with the .idx and .sub, convert them to .srt using VobSub > Sub Resync

Your heritage does indeed affect behaviors, and things as simple as skin, eye, and hair combinations seen in no other race in the same way. The only things that tend to change are accents, and often even those remain intact withing families that continue to wed and procreate strictly within their own backgrounds and beliefs. That, mister IMO, IS “America” as often as anything else.

BTW, my grandfather was born of two 100% German parents, when in fact he and his twin brother were born in Austria. Does that make him Austrian? Or is he “American” because he came to this country as a child? Of course, I know the answer, but do you?
