The Counterfeiters 2007 PROPER DVDRip XviD-XviD-NOsegmenT
Whats going on with NOsegment today? First they “proper” a release which is not even a scene release. They mention two releases in their proper notes which are not scene. They even admit that the latter is a p2p release which was on mininova weeks before the pre. Then they mess up the release name by putting two xvid tags in there. Finally this release got nuked for lacking an .sfv in the sub directory. It has now been unnuked due to the release of a subfix. All of this also pred in the MVID category! NOsegment, are you doing too much crack or am I just going insane? In any case this is a very well rated film which has received good reviews. This film WON the Oscar as “Best Foreign Language Film of the Year 2008″, so you all need to watch this.
Quality: The quality looks good as can be expected, both image and audio-wise. Even in the confusion that NOsegment seem to have created, this film should be very enjoyable. Remember to download the subfix for this release. I just read the NFO from the subfix btw. It was alcohol, not crack lol: “Subfix Notes: Forgot to create a .sfv for subs, im rather drunk at the moment so thats a valid excuse:P“.

@32 – Americans are… Americans. You have heritage/lineage from other countries… but you’re still ‘American’. Sheesh… for example, just because your great great great great great great great great grandmother Fanny from 190 years ago was English, doesn’t make you English, or really even part-English (because IMO under 1/4 anything “doesn’t count”).

OrthodoxAtheist, do you live in the United States? I think not if that’s your viewpoint. Many races and cultures survive in the U.S. as German-Americans, African Americans (heard of those?), Irish-Americans and so on. They hold dearly to their ancestry, their lineage, their ethnicity, as it should be. They live in different parts of cities where their heritage thrives and subsists, only under the jurisdiction of United States law. That is in fact why they came here, for protection from oppression, and for the right to be whom they already were.
Your heritage does indeed affect behaviors, and things as simple as skin, eye, and hair combinations seen in no other race in the same way. The only things that tend to change are accents, and often even those remain intact withing families that continue to wed and procreate strictly within their own backgrounds and beliefs. That, mister IMO, IS “America” as often as anything else.
BTW, my grandfather was born of two 100% German parents, when in fact he and his twin brother were born in Austria. Does that make him Austrian? Or is he “American” because he came to this country as a child? Of course, I know the answer, but do you?

Anyone having problems with the subs not working with “Media Classic”. I even tried “VLC” and it came up “error” on the sub file.

The subs work properly. You must have both the .idx and .sub file in the same folder and with the same name. If u r having problem with the .idx and .sub, convert them to .srt using VobSub > Sub Resync

With respect to your grandfather… I would say he is Austrian, and I’d have no problem with his claim that he was Austrian. If he claimed he was German, I’d have no problem with that either, since both his parents are 100% German. If he claimed to be American, that would be okay, because he lived there from the Age of a child. If he tried to claim he was Indian, because his great great great grandmother was 1/5 Indian… I wouldn’t let that fly. As I said, combing back to find a small percentage of another country and claiming heritage under that small percentage is embarassing. Say you have Indian heritage, or Indian roots… but you are NOT Indian. That was the only point I was making.

Based solely on your stated grandfather’s situation, you’re barely German, barely Austrian and mostly American (if born in America). Stop trying to grab the heritage of other countries you don’t rightly deserve. Amen.
