The Cardigans - Best Of (2008)

A popular rock band The Cardigans releases a new 2 CD album called simply “Best Of”. This release will hit retail stores on Monday, so you get it with few days in advance. If you’re a fan of this Swedish band, you will simply love it: all the big hits are included. This is a great chance to get the best songs from this group, as well as rare singles on the second CD.

The Cardigans have sold over 5.6 million albums worldwide. Their biggest sellers are “Gran Turismo” (feat. “My Favourite Game” & “Erase/Rewind”) which has sold 2.1m, and “First Band On The Moon” (feat. “Lovefool”) at 1.8m.”Lovefool’s” inclusion on the blockbuster Romeo & Juliet film soundtrack propelled them to superstardom - it was a No. 1 in both the UK and US airplay charts and was a top ten hit all around the world! The Cardigans are also known for their iconic video for “My Favourite Game” which was directed by the uber cool Jonas Åkerlund. More recently, Nina has appeared on the Manic Street Preachers album “Send Away the Tigers” (May 2007): providing guest vocals on the UK Chart #2 single ‘Your Love Alone Is Not Enough’. This was also a hit also around the globe.

    laughs? tss, Cardigans are pretty popular all around the world and well known and for those who missed them this is a great way to catch up. Tho Lovefool is a little too much 90’s but it’s so nostalgic :3

    @17 …Yeah but wait and see how long they survive. Although they are great services, as more and more people catch on, the bandwidth costs, not to mention the increased scrutiny from copyright investigators, will be their downfall. Enjoy them while they last, ’cause it won’t likely be for long.

    I’m completely with you mate. Even with PW RS sucks big time with its 100 MB filesize. It’s an anachronism that such a service survives nowadays. I changed to megashares premium but use yastorage and adrive as well.

    And I am not from Scandinavia yet still like The Cardigans. Easy listening at its best.

    Your the storm and my favorit game is realy good. And as a Swede im prowed of them. To bad that other parts of the world got releases that where diffrent then in Sweden. A Camp is Nina Persson (the singer) witch is good also, I dont think that is realy known outside Sweden.

    cds should be cheaper, and more money should go to the artists. i think record labels have had it way too easy for way too long.
