Well I can say that the audio problem is definitely fixed, but the video is not as sharp as the NOIR release.

It’s very viewable compared to the NOIR release which the audio was was a 4 & video was a 8 as far as this being a R5.

@ zippy with apologies to everyone else who just wants the a/v quality and working links. Dude, 2001 was a visual masterpiece using movie effects, camera techniques and story telling ideas that had not been seen on the big screen prior. Add to that a solid sci-fi story by one of the greats Arthur C. Clark and some of the finest musical scores ever composed. (insert superior wit smackdown with humorous snide remark here).
It even won an Oscar. Whatever your case, I would recommend you watch it again after reading the book….
That being said. What the hell has happened to R5′s as of late. I’m sorry you you scene guys with your superior Secret-Clubhouse-Attitude are dropping the ball when it comes to quality. R5′s are a pre-release DVD rip (typically with HQ line audio). Not some high quality CAM or TS with cam audio or hissy 1 channel. The scene needs to step-in and rename these releases according to their perceived quality.
I will wait for the DVDRIP for this one.

- this story is an old Twilight Zone episode. i don’t know how they turned a 20 minute television program into a full length film.
– the original story concept was quite good, had a nice twist at the end.
@90 it’s a 70′s movie that never got made, great build up/suspense, score, photography and even the cgi looks 70′s. If you’re into artsy movies this one is quite clever and most of all..fun.

This is my final STG release,haven’t the time anymore to do STG releases as i was a one man show and ,well basically
took alot of my time which i no longer have.I’ve had to move on to new adventures and so far so good……
So would like to say thanks to all those who stood by me and helped me out all these years…..THANK YOU!!
WORK DONE:
Right stripped ILG’s audio and gave it a little tweaking in adobe audition and then resaved and remuxed back to the video….no
syncing needed as it was already done
The video …well to me i thought it was a poor R5 unless it was meant to look like that???Anyway i removed blacked borders and added
alot more contrast to it as it looked washed out.Also increased the sharpness,chroma and lum.
Still doesn’t look the best R5 i’ve seen but good enough,specially considering it’s only just came out so enjoy.
Overall based on a R5 V8.5 A8 M7…………Even though poor by r5 standards this is more than watchable on most peoples LCDS etc…..and
should do 99% of users until the retail comes out
