The Bourne Ultimatum REAL PROPER R5 XViD-PUKKA

We can rely on PUKKA for cleaning up other group’s messes. They have 2 REAL.PROPERS in orly pre db. The previous Boune Ultimatum PROPER R5 release by 20th had out of sync (oos) problems towards 45min of the first cd, and as well with cd2 . The REAL PROPER version by pukka seems to be in-sync and without issue. PUKKA also shows their video encoding skills, proving how they can keep a quality video with bright colors and crisp pixels under a 700MB 1CD size, which is always good to have a release this size because you can watch it faster.
off-topic: first HDRip posted on releaselog back in April, by me…
update: out of sync from 9.43 till 16.36 roughly. source: vcdq and myself

If you want more info on the movie read the previous posts #1 , #2 , #3, #4, #5, #6, #7

    September 20th, 2007 | 03:36

Video quality has been reduced for the ending credits, which is not a bad idea for the rest of the movie to be of even better quality, except that in this particular case, the math was done wrong, and the 2 final under-water shots suck big time: hideous big squares… I doubt they’ll release another PROPER to correct that, so I can’t wait for a real DVDrip in 2 CDs and Dolby 5.1. I guess not before January.

I don’t understand how the link to the HD version of The Last Samurai relates to this release.

Do I need to download some HD codec, or anything else from the HD version of The Last Samurai to get this Bourne Ultimatum release to play?

Better release this time. Props to PUKKA of course. I really don’t understand why these groups can’t take just a few minutes to check their movEEZ before they rls them. I mean it would save more time for the users, as well as help gain more respect, and all together avoid all this PROPER/REAL PROPER shiet. Just a thought. Besides all that other jazz; I think that this is the closest you’ll get till the DVDRIP.

  23. [ene]
    September 20th, 2007 | 06:48

Issit really hard to get audio in sync? It seems that such shit happens randomly in the middle of shows, or worse, consistently building up until speech goes on even at the credits roll.

ResidentDecil said it right, I’ll just have to wait for the dvdrip, prolly Diamond picking it up~

  24. HighPitchEric
    September 20th, 2007 | 08:03

I just tried to watch this, and you’re all correct about the audio sync. Does anyone actually check these releases before they post about them here on Rlslog.net?? This has happened more than once, and it seems nothing is done to reduce the number of crappy releases that get posted here anyway.

Would it be so hard to require the poster of a release to have first hand knowledge regarding the quality of the release they plan to post about? This would ensure that not only does the release exist and can be obtained using the link the poster provides, but also that the release does not have issues that will prevent their use.

Maybe the mods can institute some sort of “try it before you post about it” type of policy for at least audio and video related posts. A bonus result of such a policy would be that by ensuring the release has been viewed or listened to, the poster will be able to indicate in their synopsis a few comments on the picture and sound quality. This would greatly increase the use of poster’s comments, rather than just repeating the IMDB synopsis.

    September 20th, 2007 | 10:00

I am sick of getting 1 cd rips and have sections of movies pixalated. It is time for the scene to change as alot of 1 cd rips are crap at least make the movie 1 gig. Every has a dvd player so why worry about trying to fit a movie on one cd.

    September 20th, 2007 | 10:45

I totally agree with sd … who cares if it fits on a CD? CD are more expensive than DVD now anyway. It’s nice to fit a few movies on one DVD too ….. like all the bourne movies. I know there are old dvd players that don’t play dvix .. but geez, time to update. I bought one at walmart for my mom … 25$.

it is out of sync by the slightest (oos by about a 100ms), you don’t even see their mouths moving that much during that period.. give the scene a break you’re getting it for free and its a great copy aside the brief sync error.

  36. Lol_Gadaffi
    September 20th, 2007 | 12:21

@HighPitchEric: This is a site about posting scene releases. It’s not a review-site. Having to watch them would make it pretty uninteresting as it would be old news and you would have donloaded it hours ago anyway. It’s not like it matters if it gets nuked since you only have to download it again which is totally free and takes about 5 minutes or less for such a small release as this. Even if you have a slower connection it should only mean you have to waste about 5 min setting up the download of the new release. If you wanted to be sure it was an ok release, why not just wait a few hours and people will probably have said something if there was a quality issue.

or buy the dvd, most of the time they have some good releases. :)

    Will try this realease.
Some people have limited monthly bandwith though (I have 12GB), so I can’t just risk it and go with it.
But since peeps say it’s a minor OOS, i’ll give it a go.

    Re: HighPitchEric

Although you have brought up some valid points, having of watched the shows/movies here in their entirety before we post them is for the most part logistically impossible. here are some reasons:
few of our staff have FTP access – the first place that releases show up after they pre. and they also don’t have enough bandwidth allowed on their FTPs to leech every rls that comes out so we can watch it and post about it.

    and so on.

  51. September 21st, 2007 | 02:01

and then we also wouldnt be able to post the rls as fast either.
